Everything is explained by the high-tech production method using natural ingredients, as well as the method of processing the tiles. Ceramic tiles Braas is presented in various models, which can be purchased at our sales offices in Moscow. They differ appearance, surface treatment method, as well as color proposal.

Braas tiles - stylish and beautiful

Braas tiles were produced in Germany and have gained great popularity all over the world. In the Russian market, the German company Braas has earned a good reputation and is popular among connoisseurs of ceramic roofing.

The cost of natural tiles depends on the type of processing (engobing or glazing), type of profile, color and delivery features to the consumer. But there is no doubt: such a roof will pay for itself, since for many decades the service of the tiles does not require repairs. Moreover, even the shrinkage of the building will not damage the appearance of the roof: the tiles will be arranged so that the shrinkage of the house will not be noticeable. Braas retains its operational values throughout its entire service life, which is why it is very popular all over the world, including in Russia.

Natural roofing Braas is a durable roofing material. It is slightly susceptible to aging, fire-resistant, resistant to adverse climatic factors, and is also practically silent in rain and hail. The main difference between the German Braas and its cement-sand counterparts is the thickness and shape of the tiles and more saturated colors.

Braas ceramic roofing models

Among the Braas models: Ruby 13V, Agate, Garnet, Emerald, Opal, Sapphire, Topaz, Tourmaline, Gallean 10, Sirius. At all stages of production, Braas tiles undergo thorough testing, which allows the manufacturer to be confident in the quality of its products and provide a 20-year warranty on ceramic tiles.

CPU tiles, manufactured using existing technology, were first made in 1919 in the UK by Redland (currently part of the BRAAS MONIER Building group, which also includes BRAAS-DSK1 Russia). Redland provides a 100-year guarantee on its shingles. Guarantee period expires only in 2019, while it has lain on roofs for 96 years. The climate of Great Britain is less severe than Russia, but more humid - an island state, you understand, and deep temperature transitions through “zero” also occur there. But, even under these conditions, I repeat, our British colleagues have a 100-year guarantee. I think this speaks to good performance such roofing material, like cement-sand tiles.
In Germany, a similar plant was launched in 1954; our German colleagues provide a 30-year guarantee on CPU tiles. But in Germany, it certainly didn’t lie on the roofs for 100 years. In Russia, our plant started up in 1996, and our roof tiles lasted only 18 years. This period is too short for final statistics.
But, if we talk about technical and operational characteristics, then it is important to note that in fact it does not matter in what climate the tiles are used, what is important is the transition of temperature through the zero mark, and not just a transition, but, as mentioned above, a deep transition, i.e. a decrease to “good » cons. So, we test our CPU tiles for these transitions at intervals of 3 years (the test is carried out by VNIISTROM), and these tests show that our tiles can withstand 1000 such transitions. I would like to note that in Russia only we (the BRAAS-DSK1 company) conduct such tests.
Long-term observations of our Western colleagues on the changes occurring with central tiles during their use on the roof show that erosion (thinning) of tiles occurs at a rate of 1 mm every 40 years. The tiles are suitable for use under these conditions as long as they can withstand the roofer’s weight of 100 kg, and the tiles will withstand this weight even if they are thinned to 6 mm. If the initial strength of the tile is 200 kg per 12 mm of tile thickness, then through simple mathematical calculations it turns out that wear of 6 mm will be achieved in 240 years (6mm x 40 years). Thus, the calculated service life of the tiles greatly exceeds the 100 years we stated.
As for ceramic tiles, the formation Russian market happened only 10-12 years ago, and it’s too early to talk about the experience of using these tiles in our climate. We rely only on the experience of our colleagues from other countries. The warranty on German ceramic tiles BRAAS is 30 years. Other manufacturers give up to 50 years. The experience of using tiles in other countries suggests that they can be used in different climates.

Advantages of Braas ceramic tiles:

Braas tiles are presented on the website as cement-sand and ceramic tiles. Braas roofing is easy to install and affordable for any consumer. Brass tiles for those who strive to make their home better!

  • Only environmentally friendly high-quality clay is used for production;
  • durability – ceramic roof will last more than 100 years without requiring maintenance or any restoration;
  • strength and reliability - withstands any wind, snow and temperature loads, resistant to ultraviolet radiation;
  • fire-resistant coating;
  • has low thermal conductivity, the ability to absorb noise, and does not accumulate static;
  • has a large color palette.

For the ceramic roof to last long years, all roofing components must be installed correctly in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Ceramic tiles already have a given shape and size, so they are easily attached to the sheathing using locking grooves, screws, and strong mounting wire inserted into the mounting holes. With good organization of the work process, three installers can lay up to 42 m2 of roofing. At the initial (design) stage, the features of a tiled roof should be taken into account:

  • additional waterproofing layer on the base, if the slope angle is 10°-22°, roofing roll materials can be used as insulation;
  • The tiles should be secured with screws and clamps if the slope of the slope is more than 500.

Installation of natural Braas tiles

Installation of Braas ceramic tiles is carried out from the bottom up and from right to left. It is first laid out in stacks of five on all slopes to evenly distribute the load on the rafters. Galvanized screws should be used to secure the first row along the eaves line, the last row under the ridge and pediment (side) tiles. Ordinary tiles on the slope, as necessary, it can be attached in a checkerboard pattern.

Manufacturers of Braas tiles offer a number of special elements for professional installation: end and ridge elements, elements for roof ventilation, sealing tapes, elements for snow retention and safety and some decorative decorations.

You can buy Braas tiles and an installation kit by ordering them through our website or from a warehouse in Moscow; prices for the entire range are significantly lower than those of competitors.
