Characteristics Measuring knives for microscopes GOST 7013-67

Measuring knives are manufactured in the following types:
RPB - threaded right large
RLB - threaded left large
RPM - threaded right small
RLM - threaded left small
GP - smooth straight lines

The right and left knives differ only in the position of the working edge.
Right-hand threaded knives are used for installation on the right sides of the coil profile facing the observer, left ones - for installation on the left side of the coil profile.

It is allowed to manufacture threaded sheaths with a negative rake angle.
The size is defined as the distance from the edge of the measuring surface for threaded knives and the working edge for straight knives to the middle of the stroke, measured in the direction perpendicular to the edge (face).

Knives are made of steel ХВ5 in accordance with GOST 5950-73.
It is allowed to manufacture knives from steel grades X and HVG according to GOST 5950-73 or ШХ15 according to GOST 801-78.

The hardness of the measuring knives is not lower than HV 739 according to GOST 2999-75.
The surface roughness should be no more than the parameters according to GOST 2789-73:
upper surface (with a line applied) - Rz 0.05 µm;
faces forming the measuring edge - Rz 0.05 µm;
non-working surfaces - Ra 0.32 µm;
non-working surface, rounded along the radius, Ra 0.63 µm.

All non-working sharp edges of knives must be dulled. The width of the blunting should be no more than 0.2 mm.
The blunting of the apex of the 52° angle should be no more than 0.03 mm.

Collapses of the upper surface at the working edge are not allowed.

The stroke should be clear and even. The stroke width should be in the range of 0.003-0.004 mm.
The non-straightness of the stroke should not exceed 0.001 mm.
The non-flatness of the upper surface (with the applied stroke) should not be more than 0.0006 mm, the bottom - 0.002 mm.
The non-parallelism of the upper and lower planes should not be more than 0.002 mm.
The non-parallelism of the stroke and the edge (working edge) should not be more than 0.0005 mm.

Example of designation: Right-hand threaded measuring knives, large RPB.
