4) But it happens that you need custom scan or full examination.

Under the “Start scanning” button there is a link “Select objects to scan” (2 in Fig. 4). If you click on it, then for a complete check you should check all the items in the list. To do this, just check the topmost checkbox next to “Scan objects”.

5) Without sufficient experience, it is better not to change other important program settings. By default, the utility will try to disinfect infected files and quarantine incurable ones.

In this case, you can familiarize yourself with the results of the program by reading the text file of its report.

6) If the Dr.Web CureIt! If you have placed any files in quarantine, it is better to click on the “Decontaminate” button.

Note: If system files on your computer have been infected, the scan will detect them and present them as threats. If you remove them, the Windows system may NOT boot after that. It is possible that it is for this reason that it is sometimes recommended to scan with the Dr.Web CureIt utility only when the Windows operating system is loaded in safe mode.

7) As a result of the files being quarantined, some application of which these files were part could stop working. You should not try to extract them from there, thus “restoring” the functionality of the application.

The correct and safest thing to do would be to delete all files from quarantine after the scan is completed, and then uninstall and reinstall the corresponding applications if they do not work or work incorrectly.

Performing a check

After completing everything described above, a window will open where you need to once again agree to the license terms (the corresponding field is circled in blue) and click the “Continue” button.

A window will appear with one large “Start scan” button in the center. Click on it and wait for the results.

In this window you can specify the files that should be scanned. This allows you to scan not all files, but only those that the user selects.

To do this, click on the inscription “Select objects to scan” (circled in green).

After this, a window will appear, which is shown in the figure below.

In it you need to check the boxes next to those places that should be checked (highlighted in blue) and click on the “Run scan” button.

After the scan is completed, the user will see a window where they can clean their computer of viruses.

Here you can click on one large button “Disarm” (it is highlighted in red).
