Under-roofing film anti-condensation waterproofing type yutakon. LLC roofing designer. Using Utahcon film

Vapor-tight waterproofing anti-condensation films for insulated roofs Yutakon 130 represent a material for protection against the penetration of moisture from the outside (rain and snow) into the internal structure of the object, as well as against soot and dust in ventilated systems of inclined roofs. At the same time, it prevents the flow of condensed water vapor onto the applied thermal insulation due to the use of moisture-absorbing non-woven material (viscose).

Anti-condensation waterproofing films YUTAKON They are a four-layer film - ultraviolet-resistant polypropylene fabric, laminated on both sides with polypropylene film, to one side of which a moisture-absorbing non-woven material is attached. Top and bottom lamination ensures the waterproofing properties and vapor permeability of this film. The polypropylene fabric provides high strength, and a moisture-absorbing non-woven material attached to the bottom surface of the film absorbs water vapor generated in the interior of the object. Once the condensation conditions disappear, the nonwoven fabric dries quickly in air flow. It is installed horizontally directly on the rafters or other supporting structure of the roof so that the distance between the rafters when attaching the film does not exceed 1.2 m. The minimum gap under the film should be 5 cm. The roll is wound in such a way that when unwinding on the roof, the moisture-absorbing non-woven material is facing the interior space of the object. Installation begins at the roof edge and continues toward the ridge. It must be secured to the supporting roof structure with counter-battens. A black stripe is applied to the edge of the film to indicate the recommended width of the horizontal overlap with the subsequent film web. The exact values of the overlap values are indicated in the table.

In the case of using anti-condensation films on formwork or other bases, it is necessary to insert counter-battens measuring 3 cm * 5 cm and with a pitch of no more than 1.2 m from each other between the film and the base. In all cases where the film is attached, a gap of at least 10 cm must be left in the lower area of the roof and in the ridge area for ventilation. The advantage of these films is their strength and high ultraviolet resistance (12 months), meaning that the roof can remain uncovered after covering with the film. for a long time unlike other roofing films. It can be used to protect roof structures during production preparatory work for installation roofing, as well as for temporary protection of thermal insulation from atmospheric influences. Due to the fact that this film is vapor-tight and prevents water vapor from penetrating from the interior of the object into the roof covering, it reduces the possibility of water vapor condensation on the roof covering used. The film can be used for any inclined ventilated roofing structures, for example, for concrete, tile, ceramic and slate materials, in particular, it is recommended for profiled coatings (metal tiles) such as Gassel Profile, Rannila, Kami, Plegel, Lindab, Veckman, Bituvel, Guttanit and etc.

Technical characteristics of Yutakon 130

Overall dimensions of Yutakon 130

YUTAKON under-roof waterproofing anti-condensation film is used in ventilated inclined roofing systems to protect the interior of the house from the penetration of external moisture (rain and snow), soot, and dust. At the same time, YUTAKON prevents water vapor condensate from draining onto the thermal insulation thanks to the special moisture-absorbing non-woven material (viscose) included in its structure.

Specification of waterproofing anti-condensation film YUTAKON.

UTAKON membrane is four-layer polypropylene material, stabilized to ultraviolet radiation laminated on both sides. On one side of the film there is a moisture-absorbing non-woven material:

  • the upper and lower layers of the laminate provide the film with waterproofing properties + vapor permeability of the material;
  • polypropylene fabric gives high strength;
  • moisture-absorbing non-woven material absorbs water vapor, thereby preventing condensation of droplets of moisture from water vapor rising from the interior of the house. Thanks to the ventilation gap under the film, this non-woven material dries quickly in the passing air flow.

Technical characteristics of anti-condensation film YUTAKON N 130 VS UV:

  • roll size - 1.3 (1.5) x 50 m;
  • material density - 130 g/m²;
  • flammability according to DIN 4102 - B3;
  • vapor permeability - 0.00035 kg/m 2 *24 h;
  • strength, longitudinal/lateral - 8.0 (84)/6.0 (63) MPa (kgf/cm 2);
  • extension length/transverse — 20/20%;
  • stability to UV irradiation - 12 months.

The membrane has high durability, comparable to the durability of roofing materials. YUTAKON is not susceptible to rotting, pests and mold.

Installation with anti-condensation waterproofing film YUTAKON.

  • YUTAKON film is attached directly to the plane of the rafters/joists/others building elements roofs so that the distance between them does not exceed 1.2 m;
  • It is not allowed to lay the film directly on (other floorings) and thermal insulation;
  • the minimum gap under the UTAKON membrane is 5 cm;
  • with rafter length< 10 м размер проветривающего зазора должен составлять 1/250 площади стороны кровли, min – 400 см²/1 пог. м от кровельного желоба;
  • for each subsequent meter of rafter length, ventilation gaps are increased by 10% (by 40 cm²/1 linear meter of roof gutter);
  • when laying material on the roof, the moisture-absorbing non-woven layer must face the interior of the house;
  • installation begins horizontally from the roof edge and continues towards the ridge;
  • the film is strengthened on load-bearing structure roofing with counterbattens;
  • along the edge of the film there is a black stripe, which reflects the recommended width of the horizontal overlap with the subsequent sheet of material;
  • dependence of the overlap of UTAKON sheets on the angle of inclination of the roof:

  • when the roof slope is less than 22°C, the overlap of the film sheets is connected with SP 1 tapes;
  • when installing the UTAKON membrane on formwork/other flooring, impregnated counter-battens with a cross-section of 4 x 5 cm are laid between the film and the flooring. The distance between the counter-battens is no more than 1.2 m;
  • the adhesion of the material in the lower part of the roof and in the ridge area must ensure mandatory air flow. In the ridge area, the gap for ventilation should be at least 10 cm;
  • the advantage of YUTAKON is its high strength and significant ultraviolet resistance (12 months), which significantly exceeds the performance of other films;
  • YUTAKON can be used to protect roofing structures during preparatory work until the installation of the roof covering, including for temporary protection of thermal insulation from the effects of precipitation;
  • UTAKON film is vapor-tight, therefore it prevents the flow of water vapor from the interior of the house to roofing material. As a result, the possibility of water vapor settling on the laid coating is reduced, incl. penetration of water vapor into metal tile paints;
  • UTAKON film is not allowed to be exposed to UV radiation through an attic window or;
  • the membrane can be used for roofing with a slope of 12°;
  • at a lower slope, consultation with the manufacturer is necessary;
  • the remaining installation rules correspond to the installation rules set out in the article.

Using UTAKON film.

The YUTAKON waterproofing vapor-tight anti-condensation membrane can be used in all systems of ventilated sloping roofs, especially for profiled coverings (metal tiles) such as Rannila, Plegel, Gasell Profile, etc.

Yutakon waterproofing film with double-sided lamination protects the roof structure and creates reliable protection from the penetration of moisture from the outside (snow, rain, hail) and contaminants present in the air (dust, soot, other fine particles). Second function diffusion membrane Yutakon is the prevention of condensation of droplets of moisture in a building or structure.

Yutakon under-roof insulation is four-layer. Propylene fabric, being one of the outer linings, absorbs water vapor. Lamination prevents corrosion from external moisture and is responsible for waterproofing the roof.

Application

The polymer mesh creates high strength of the material. Stability to ultraviolet radiation makes it possible to maintain a roof structure covered with Yutakon waterproofing film throughout the year without destruction, carrying out repair work in full.

Film with waterproofing properties Yutakon is used for all types of sloping roofs with a ventilation gap. Yutakon waterproofing is installed for buildings with roofs covered with metal tiles or galvanized sheets.

Installation of waterproofing

Viscose, used as a one-sided lamina for the Yutakon roofing film, is water-absorbing non-woven material and is not subject to rotting. Droplets of moisture rising up settle on its surface, but quickly evaporate in air currents.

When conducting roofing works Roof waterproofing cannot be laid directly on formwork or other decking to avoid subsequent destruction of the walls and roof when removing the formwork elements.

Installation of Yutakon waterproofing is carried out on load-bearing elements roofs. The distance between the rafters is allowed no more than 1.2 m.

The Yutakon anti-condensation under-roofing film is rolled up in such a way that the coating for draining condensing water vapor can fully perform its functions.

When installing roof waterproofing, it is prohibited to arbitrarily reduce the amount of overlap of the film sheets, as well as allow it to come into contact with the thermal insulation.

How to lay the Yutakon membrane

The instructions indicate that waterproofing the roof with Yutakon film is carried out first along the perimeter of the building, and then continues towards the ridge. Fastening is carried out with counter rails measuring 30 * 50mm. The gap for ventilation of the sloping roof system is 10 cm or more.

Main functions.

Using correct design structure and combination of an under-roof waterproofing layer, vapor-tight protection and a corresponding thermal insulation layer can be ensured on long time optimal properties roofing and wall structures. This concerns mainly the required parameters of diffusion balance, maintaining the thermal resistance of the structure, and ensuring the waterproofness of the structure. At correct use Due to their properties, roofing films ensure waterproofness of the structure - both during installation of the roofing covering and as a waterproofing layer throughout the entire life of the roofing covering. The materials also ensure the release of water vapor into the external space of the object. Thus, the melted snow, blown by the wind, rainwater or condensation will not disappear from the roof for inner material designs. At correct installation Thanks to vapor-tight films, there is no moistening of the thermal insulation layers, which would lead to a significant increase in thermal conductivity. Consequently, the materials ensure a long service life of the thermal insulation and prevent the occurrence of condensation in roofing and wall structures, since water vapor does not penetrate into the dew point area in the thermal insulation space. In addition, the structure is airtight and heat leakage is prevented. For connecting vapor-proof films, connecting pipes are supplied. self-adhesive tapes YUTAFOL SP 1 and YUTAFOL SP AL.

Material handling and transport

Transportation is carried out in clean vehicles. Despite the fact that each film and membrane is packed in polyethylene to avoid contamination, during loading and other types of work it is necessary to ensure that mechanical damage and rupture of the film or membrane. Products are stored in a room where UV radiation does not reach. The materials can be used in structures where the temperature range in the area where the material is placed is from -40 o C to +80 o C. It is recommended to connect vapor-proof and under-roof films and membranes using tape at temperatures above +5 o C.
