  • Error: 691 "Access is denied because the username or password is not valid on this domain"
  • Error: 678 "The remote computer is not responding"
  • Error: 769 "The specified destination is unreachable"
  • Error: 734 "The PPP link control protocol was interrupted"
  • Error: 815 This error occurs exclusively on Windows Vista and is synonymous with errors 678 or 769 on Windows XP.
Error: 680 and 676: (Line busy). This error occurs if the network card on your computer is not working correctly, or there are faults in our active equipment.

Solution: You need to disable and re-enable the network adapter in Device Manager (Start-> Control Panel-> System-> Hardware-> Device Manager-> Network Cards. Right-click, select Disable, and then Enable and try connecting again. If the problem persists Reboot the computer and try connecting again.

Error: 691: (Access is denied because the username or password is not valid on this domain.)

Most often, this error occurs to users if they actually type the Username and Password incorrectly, or if they have already connected to the network under your login.

Solving the problem: Carefully enter your Username (Login) and Password. Login is entered in capitals in English letters and/or numbers, pay attention to the presence of the separating symbol "_" - "underbar". Make sure that the English keyboard layout is enabled and programs that automatically change the keyboard layout, such as Punto Switcher, are not active. Remember if you gave your credentials to friends/acquaintances. It has also been repeatedly noticed that some firewalls can block outgoing PPPoE protocol packets. This is especially common when using the Avast antivirus product, a little less often Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro, the standard Windows firewall (isolated cases).

Error: 678: (The remote computer is not responding). This type of error occurs when there is no connection between your computer and the access server. Most likely the cause of this error is: malfunctions on our active equipment, the client’s network card is disabled, the connection is blocked by an antivirus program or firewall.

Solution to the problem: The cable may not be connected or is faulty local network or poor contact in the connectors. Your computer's network adapter may not be working properly. To resolve the problem, you may need to reinstall the network adapter driver or replace the network adapter. The network adapter may be disabled in Device Manager. Turn on the network adapter and try connecting again. Refer to the instructions for setting up your operating system. Check your local network connection (Start->Control Panel -> Network connections-> right-click on Local Area Connection -> select Enable). Disable your antivirus program or firewall.

Error: 769: (The specified destination is unreachable). The reason for this error is that the network card on your computer is disabled.

Solution to the problem: You need to enable the network adapter in Device Manager (Start-> Control Panel-> System-> Hardware-> Device Manager-> Network Cards. Right-click, select Enable and try connecting again.)

Error: 734: (PPP Link Control Protocol Aborted) This error can occur if the security protocols on the server you are connecting to are incompatible with your local security settings.

Solution: In the Network Connections folder, right-click the connection you are using. Select the Properties command and open the Security tab. In the When scanning is used list, select Unsecured password.

Before calling technical support, check the balance of your personal account in personal account https://stat.mtrend.ru, physically connecting the cable to the computer’s network card, and also write down the error number in the connection.

Error 619 – The specified port is not connected

To solve this problem, use the instructions for.

Error 629 – The connection was interrupted by the remote computer

The error occurs when the previous session is completed incorrectly, when there is an open connection on the server, if a PPPoE session has already been created and you are trying to open another session. The resolution procedure is the same as for error 691. Wait at least two minutes and try to connect again. Remember to keep your internet login information secret.

Error 633 – Modem is already in use for outgoing dial-up connections

The reason for the error is that the PPPoE virtual port is already in use. Restart your computer, if several PPPoE connections have been created, delete unused ones, and try connecting again.

Error 676 or 680 – Line busy

This error occurs if the network card on your computer does not work correctly. You need to turn off and turn on the network adapter again. Right-click My Computer and select Computer Management. The Computer Management window will appear; select Device Manager on the left side of the window. In the list that appears, find Network cards (Network adapters, Network cards), click on the “+” icon on the left, a list of network cards installed on the computer opens, select yours network card.

By right-clicking, select “Disable” and then “Enable” and try connecting again. If the network card is not in Device Manager, then it is either disabled in the BIOS, or the driver for the network card is not installed. If one of the symbols is displayed in front of the icon: a question mark, Exclamation point, then the driver on the network card is installed incorrectly. Reinstall the driver, restart your computer, and try connecting again.

Error 678 – The remote computer did not respond in time (Error 815 - for Windows Vista, Error 651 - for Windows 7)

This type of error occurs when there is no connection between your computer and the access server. Most likely, the cause of the error is a disconnected (not working correctly) network card, a local network connection is turned off, a cable is not connected or poor contact in the connectors, or the cable has broken or the connection is blocked by an antivirus program or firewall. To resolve the problem, you may need to reinstall the network adapter driver or replace the network adapter.

Solution to the problem:

  1. Check your local network connection:
    1. in Windows XP Start -> Control Panel -> Networks and Internet Connections -> Network Connections;
    2. in Windows Vista Start -> Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network and Sharing Center -> Manage network connections (link on the left side of the window);
    3. in Windows 7 Start -> Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network and Sharing Center -> Change adapter settings (link on the left side of the window).
Then you need to right-click on Local Area Connection and select “Enable” from the menu.
  2. Check that the network card is ENABLED (if it is disabled, enable it). For the procedure, see the description of error 676.
  3. Try removing and reinstalling the network card in Device Manager, or reinstalling the drivers for the network card.
  4. If you have an internal network card (not built into the motherboard, but a separate PCI card), then with the computer turned off, try removing the card, inserting it back, securing it with a bolt, turning on the computer and trying to connect.
  5. Try completely disabling your antivirus program or firewall/firewall while attempting to connect.

Error 691 – Access is denied because the username or password is not valid in this domain

Most often, this error occurs when the login (user name) and/or password in the connection is actually entered incorrectly, or when a connection to the network has already been made under your login.

Solution to the problem:

Delete and retype your username and password carefully. The login is entered in lowercase (small) English letters and/or numbers. Make sure that the English keyboard layout is turned on and "Caps Lock" on the keyboard is turned off.

Also, this error will appear when you fail to pay for Internet use (check the balance in your personal account), or when you change your computer/network card/reinstall the operating system on your computer, in which case you need to call technical support and dictate the new MAC address of the network card.

Error 692 – Modem hardware error has occurred

To solve this problem, follow these steps: restart your computer; if the error persists, open Device Manager and remove the network card as a device. After this, at the top of the window, click on the “Update hardware configuration” icon, or restart the computer. Try connecting again.

Error 711 – The Remote Access Manager service could not be started

Solution to the problem:

Right-click on the My Computer icon and select Manage. In the window that opens, select Services and Applications -> Services. Activate the Telephony and Remote Access Connection Manager services.

Error 720 – No PPP management protocols configured

Solutions to the problem:

  1. Check the box "Internet Protocol TCP/IP" in the properties of "Local Area Network Connections".
  2. Try resetting the TCP/IP protocol stack. To do this, in the Start menu, click "Run..." and there type cmd.exe (in Windows 7 you need to type cmd.exe in the search bar). IN command line dial:
    netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
After the reset is completed, restart the computer.
  3. Run an integrity check and restore system files. To do this, in the Start menu, click “Run…” and there type:
    sfc /scannow
  4. Reinstall the drivers for the network card. If this procedure does not help, try the following instructions: Error 720. Instructions for advanced users

Error 734 – PPP link control protocol was interrupted

This error may occur if the security protocols on the server you are connecting to are incompatible with your local security settings. In the Network Connections folder, right-click the connection you are using. Select the "Properties" command and open the "Security" tab. In the "Used when checking" list, select "Unsecure Password" (in Windows 7 - Data Encryption: Optional).

Error 735 – The requested address was rejected by the server

This error may occur due to incorrect settings for a high-speed PPPoE connection. You need to open the properties of Local Area Network Connections, the properties of the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and select “Obtain an IP address automatically”, “Obtain a DNS server address automatically” and save the settings by clicking the “OK” button.

Error 769 – The specified destination is not reachable

Local Area Connection may be disabled in Network Connections. You need to open the network connections window, find Local Area Connection, right-click and select “Enable” from the menu.

You also need to check the status of the network card in Device Manager (the network card icon is crossed out with a red cross). For the procedure for enabling the network card, see the description of error 676.
