Washing, dry cleaning and polishing of wheels and tires
Our range of tire fitting services includes washing only one set of wheels - the one that will be balanced. Washing is carried out in a special Wulkan wheel washing machine. This wash is needed to remove large clods of dirt that affect the balance. The second set of wheels is washed only at the request of the client. We believe that it is better to store dry tires and wheels without exposing them to moisture (causing corrosion), freezing and thawing, or even rotting water on the wheels during the warm season, so we do not recommend washing wheels intended for storage and removal when remounting tires in plastic bags. If you insist on washing the wheels you are removing, then the cost of washing them will be 50-70 rubles. for the wheel (notify the manager about ordering this service during your visit). This will be a machine wash, after which the wheels will not become perfectly clean, as already written above.
Another thing - Dry cleaning and polishing of wheel rims. These services also include drying the wheels after work and, unlike washing the wheels in a dishwasher, serve to give the wheels their original appearance, remove brown deposits from winter road agents, traces of bitumen or road markings.
Dry cleaning of rims It is made manually using aggressive automotive chemicals and is included in the price of VIP tire fitting, while polishing is paid separately at a rate of 300 to 1000 rubles. per rim (depending on the size and complexity of the rim shape).
Wheel polishing does not allow these discs to get dirty for a long time, so it is recommended to polish the discs on a set of discs that is installed and not removed from the car. Dry cleaning of rims is recommended both for wheel rims that have been removed (to reduce the damage) and for rims that have been “neglected” since last winter, brown, yellow or white with dirt.
