Before starting work, make sure that the window and doorways closed, there are no drafts in the room, the air temperature is in the range from +5 to +25 ° C and such temperature regime kept indoors for at least 5 days before starting work and three days after application.

  1. The base must comply with the requirements of SP 29.13330.2011; when carrying out work on the “Warm Floor” system, it is recommended to turn off the heating at least 2 days before the start of work.
  2. The surface of the base must be cleaned of dirt and dust, paint coatings and glue, peeling old coatings and oil stains - everything that can impair the adhesion of the material to the base.
  3. Weak areas of the base, protrusions and irregularities must be removed by grinding or milling.
  4. All cracks, deep potholes in the base, joints of slabs must be embroidered one day before the start of floor leveling work, cleaned of dust, treated with Bergauf TIEFGRUNT primer and filled with thickly diluted Bergauf mixture Base.
  5. The prepared base must be treated with Bergauf TIEFGRUNT primer
  6. Dry and highly absorbent substrates must be primed twice. Allow the first coat of primer to dry for 1 hour before reapplying. Floor installation work should be carried out no earlier than 4 hours.

If the base surface is not primed, cracks may occur during the hardening period of the floor and a decrease in the strength of the hardened mortar .

Use clean containers and tools to prepare the solution.

  1. Mix the mixture with water (from +5 to +25 °C) in the following proportion:

The dry mixture is gradually added to the water.

  • for 1 kg of mixture – 0.17 – 0.19 l of water;
  • for 20 kg of mixture – 3.40–3.80 l of water
  • for 25 kg of mixture – 4.25 – 4.75 liters of water.
  1. Stir until smooth**.
  2. Wait 3-5 minutes until everything is finished chemical reactions.
  3. Stir again

** Mixing is recommended to be done using a special mixer for dry mixtures or conventional drill with nozzle, speed no more than 500 per minute. At a high number of revolutions, the mixture will involve a large number of air, which can negatively affect the quality of the surface - the formation of bumps and craters is possible.

Attention! The properties of the product are guaranteed only if the proportions of mixing with water and the procedure for preparing the solution are strictly observed.

The mixture must be consumed within 1 hour from the moment of preparation.

  1. Install the beacons parallel to each other, so that during application and leveling they are like rails for the rule that will be used to level the mixture. It is prohibited to install beacons on gypsum mixture; it is recommended to use a quick-hardening mixture, for example, Bergauf Easy Master.
  2. It is necessary to stick damper tape around the perimeter of the room (the height of the tape should be 1 cm greater than the thickness of the Bergauf Base application, the minimum thickness of the tape is 5 mm).
  3. After preparing the solution, distribute it evenly between the beacons using a trowel or spatula. Application must be done from the far corner (in relation to the doorway), gradually moving towards the exit.
  4. The thickness of the application should exceed the height of the beacon by 1-3 mm.
  5. After distributing the solution, it is necessary to level it using the trapezoidal rule.
  6. Place the rule on the beacons, and then, without breaking away from the beacons, pull it “towards you,” holding the rule at an angle of 60°.
  7. Remove the remaining mixture remaining on the rule with a trowel and reuse.
  8. Expansion joints are created 24 hours after the floor is applied.
  9. Expansion joints should be perpendicular to each other, the area between the seams should, if possible, coincide as much as possible with the shape of a square. The distance between parallel seams should be 3-6 m, the width of the seam should be 3-5 mm, the depth should be a third of the thickness of the screed. The seams must coincide with the axes of the columns and the seams of the floor slabs.
  10. Before further work(laying the covering, pouring the finishing floor) the joints are filled with Bergauf Base leveling solution or another suitable product.

When installing a heated floor, you should be guided by SP 29.13330.2011.

Attention!

When installing floors in rooms with complex geometric shape cutting required expansion joints after the mixture has hardened. Expansion joints must be arranged in doorways, narrowing in rooms with an irregular geometric shape and with a diagonal of more than 10 meters. Also, when installing the floor, the expansion joints existing in the base should be repeated.

During the hardening period (the first 5-10 days after pouring), avoid drafts in the room and direct contact with the surface. sun rays so as not to cause premature drying of the floor and the appearance of cracks.

Passage on the leveled surface is possible after 48 hours*.

Turning on the “Warm Floor” is possible no earlier than after 14 days.

Before installation finishing coatings the surface can be leveled self-leveling floors Bergauf.

Surface suitable for:

- Bergauf Hydrostop waterproofing devices - in accordance with the instructions on the packaging;

— laying tiles of all types and sizes – after 5 days*;

- filling with finishing cement and gypsum mixtures— after 14 days;

Self-leveling floors, screeds- these are ready-made dry building mixtures for leveling horizontal surfaces. The main purpose of these materials is to eliminate unevenness, increase strength or prepare the floor for finishing layer finishes: tiles, laminate, linoleum, parquet and other types of floor coverings. In our store you can buy self-leveling floors, screeds, floor levelers, ranging from simple cement ones to high-strength industrial ones.

Types of self-leveling floors

There are cement, cement-gypsum and gypsum compositions of self-leveling floors. They are classified as compositions for preparatory (rough) work.

Application method: manual or machine. Depending on the brand, there are levelers for wet and dry rooms, there are for outdoor and for interior work. Thickness of data application building mixtures from 10 to 250 mm. This indicator also depends on the brand of the manufacturer.

In this catalog you will find self-leveling floors, screeds, levelers, primers, grouts and other materials under the following brands: Bergauf, Ceresit, Knauf, Litokol, Weber-Vetonit, Volma, Osnovit, Prospectors.

Features of self-leveling floors, screeds and levelers

  • Ties Often used to eliminate large differences, since this mixture can be applied in a layer of up to 250 mm. After a high-quality screed, you can lay tiles, linoleum, laminate, parquet, and so on on the surface.
  • Self-leveling floors, compared to a screed, are less labor-intensive to work with. Thanks to their features, you can achieve more smooth surface than with a screed. Self-leveling floors are suitable for laying carpet and thin linoleum.
  • Floor levelers They often leave a rough surface after application and are only suitable for subsequent laying of tiles.

What is the difference between self-leveling floors and screeds?

  • Dry mixes for basic alignment contain coarse-grained components and are applied in a layer of 2 to 10 cm.
  • Self-leveling floors final leveling– these are finely ground mixtures used for finishing thin-layer application under decorative coating. This type of flooring can be applied with a thickness ranging from a few millimeters to 3 cm.

In this video you will learn how to choose the right dry mixtures for the floor and work with them. Today, dry mixtures for flooring must have high grade strength, workability, spreadability, non-shrinkage, and the ability to withstand loads. Bergauf, together with leading independent laboratories, has developed reliable and high-tech products of European quality level. To choose a self-leveling floor, you need to focus on the following characteristics: - scope of application, - type of base on which the solution will be applied - thickness of the application layer - scope of work: internal or external - type of floor covering. To carry out the work you will need a suitable Bergauf self-leveling floor, Bergauf primer, construction mixer, bucket, vacuum cleaner, needle roller, paint roller, wide spatula, laser level, beacons, dowels, damper tape. Preparation of the base consists of the following stages: checking the quality of the base, cleaning the base, organizing expansion joints, determining the horizon level, eliminating local defects, priming. When the base is prepared for further work, it is necessary to prepare a solution. Pour into the container required amount water, add the dry mixture, preferably with the mixer turned on. After a pause of 5-10 minutes, the mixture is mixed again with a mixer. To properly level the floor, it is necessary to simultaneously mix the mortar in one bucket and pour the mortar from another bucket so that the mixture retains its plasticity. It is recommended to start work from the wall farthest to the exit. The solution is applied in strips 35-40 cm wide. If you follow all the recommendations for preparing and applying the solution, you are guaranteed an excellent result.

The appearance of the product may differ from that shown in the photograph.
