In the state standard GOST 3033-79 it is indicated that its effect extends to hinged bolts with an eye (loop) and partial inch or metric threads. This type of fasteners is used in various types of industry and construction.
Technical characteristics of bolts according to GOST 3033-79
The eyebolt has a cylindrical shaft with partial/full threads. It can be metric or inch. The head of the fastener is spherical, in the form of an eye.Other features of fasteners GOST 3033-79:
- accuracy class B and C (normal and rough);
- nominal thread diameter 5-36 mm;
- rod length with eye 25-300 mm;
- thread tolerance field - 6g.
made from the following materials: steel with different strength classes (4.8, 5.8, 8.8, 10.9, 12.9), stainless steel, galvanized steel, brass. Applying a thermal diffusion or other protective coating increases the service life of fasteners and protects them from corrosion.

Areas of application for hinged eye bolts in accordance with GOST 3033-79
Folding eye fasteners are used in a wide variety of applications. They are indispensable in construction, mechanical engineering, and machine tool production. With their help, units and spare parts are secured in production machines. Bolt with folding eye according to GOST 3033-79 also used for releasing or clamping parts and arranging rigging devices. It is used to reliably fasten components and parts in the mechanical engineering industry. Fasteners according to GOST 3033-79 Suitable for mounting various elements in ceilings and walls. To do this, you need to additionally use anchors. Hinged bolts are the ideal solution for attaching building systems to load-bearing walls or temporary partitions.
The main purpose of bolts manufactured according to the GOST standard 3033-79
, - creation of easily removable connections. The eyelet greatly facilitates the process of assembling and disassembling structures. If during work, according to the technical process, parts often change position relative to each other, hinged bolts are the ideal solution for fastening. Such fasteners are used for screwing together elements of hydraulic filters, industrial autoclaves, and conductors. With their help, elements of reciprocating mechanisms and other moving parts are fixed.
Hinged bolts have some operating nuances. Since they are often used to connect moving elements or are subject to frequent twisting and unscrewing, they must withstand strong cyclic loads. Applying a protective coating and following operating instructions will help prevent rapid wear of fasteners. In case of critical wear, it is important to replace the element so that one faulty part does not lead to more serious problems.
The Stolichny Fastener company specializes in the manufacture of hinged bolts of various sizes with normal or rough accuracy classes (B and C). All products are manufactured on modern equipment with strict adherence to standards and step-by-step quality control.

Notes to the table 1 and 2:
- 1. f - deviation from the alignment of the head and the rod; K - deviation from perpendicularity to the axis of the hole in the head and the axis of the rod over a length equal to 0.5 b or 0.5 b 1; m is the deviation from the intersection of the axes of the head and the hole in the head over a length equal to d.
- 2. Weights are for steel bolts. To determine the mass of brass bolts, the mass values indicated in table. 1 and 2 should be multiplied by a factor of 1.08; from bronze - by 0.97.
- 3. Threaded bolts d = 14 mm are not recommended. Example of a symbol for a hinged bolt version 1, thread diameter d = 6 mm, with tolerance range 8g, length L = 32 mm, strength class 3.6, made of mild steel, with coating 01 6 µm thick: Bolt М6Х32.36.С.016 GOST 3033-79
- 4. Limit deviations of the diameter of the hole in the head d 1: for bolts of normal accuracy - H12;
- 5. Maximum deviations of the diameter of the hole for the cotter pin d 2 - H14.
- 6. Maximum deviations for head width b-d11.
- 7. Limit deviations of size l 2 -H14.
- 8. Maximum deviations of slot width b 2 -H12.
- 9. Maximum deviations of thread length l 0 - plus two thread pitches.
- 10. Maximum deviations of dimensions obtained by stamping - according to the second class of GOST 7505-74.
- 11. Unspecified longitudinal deviations of dimensions: holes H16, shafts h16, others ± IT16/2.
- 12. When making threads using the rolling method, the diameter of the rod should be made according to GOST 19256-73.
- 13. For rough precision bolts the following is allowed: deviation from the alignment of the head and the rod is no more than 2f;
deviation from the intersection of the axes of the head and the hole in the head is no more than 1.5 mm;
deviation from perpendicularity of the axis of the hole in the head to the axis of the rod over a length equal to 0.5b or 0.5b1 not more than 2K;
cuts (chips) of metal on the edges of the head with a depth of no more than 0.5 mm.
Roughness of surfaces forming size b - Ra - 14. Thread - according to GOST 24705-81, with a tolerance range of 8g - according to GOST 16093-81.
- 15. Dimensions of runs and chamfers for threads - according to GOST 10549-80.
- 16. Mechanical properties, grades of materials and technical requirements for bolts of normal and rough accuracy - according to GOST 1759-70.
The same, rough accuracy, version 2, thread diameter d = 10 mm, with a tolerance range of 8g, length L = 60 mm, from material group 32, uncoated:
Bolt G2M10X 60.32 GOST 3033-79
for rough precision bolts - H14.
