How to make your own snow globe. Let's make a magic ball with snow - a small miracle with our own hands! Photos of snow globes

Getting closer New Year, and more and more I want magic, snowflakes swirling in the golden light of lanterns, a festive atmosphere... In the meantime, there is still a long time before the holiday, we can do it ourselves small miraclesnowball with your own hands. This magical gift will definitely appeal to adults, and the baby will be enchanted by the magic hidden behind the glass.

How to make a snow globe? When you look at the magical whirling snowflakes above a small, like a gingerbread house or a toy snowman, it seems that you cannot repeat such a miracle yourself. But we assure you - if you follow simple instructions, you will succeed!

What do we need to create a ball?

  • a small glass jar with a fairly tight-fitting lid (volume - no more than 1 liter);
  • a small figurine that will need to be placed inside the ball - a house with glowing windows, Santa Claus or a snow-covered tree - anything that will help create a New Year's mood;
  • waterproof glue (it will be more convenient to use a glue gun);
  • distilled water;
  • glitter (you can use artificial snow);
  • glycerin (sold at any pharmacy);
  • if you want to create an imitation of snowdrifts in a ball, you can use self-hardening plastic for this purpose.

Snow globe making process:

The most convenient way to start creating a snow globe with your own hands is by gluing the toy to the lid of the jar. If you use metal figures, it is better to first treat them with an anti-corrosion agent. Combine them beautifully into a single composition (for this it will be more convenient to use a gun with super glue), you can make snowdrifts from plastic with your own hands - in general, show your imagination and create a truly magical New Year's composition! In this case, you will need to let the plastic dry completely before placing the lid in the jar.

Then wash the jar clean, pour water into it and add glycerin. There should be a little less of it than water; the more of it, the slower the sparkles or snow will fall on our figures. If you're unsure about the dosage, throw a few sparkles into the water and see how fast they go down. Too fast - add to solution glycerin, slowly -water .

Add half a teaspoon of glitter or artificial snow. By the way, making it yourself is very simple: just peel the eggshells from the film and grind them in a mortar.

When the glue on which the toys are placed has dried, close the lid of the jar tightly (very tightly!). Tip: over time, water may begin to leak from the ball, and to prevent this from happening, the lid and threads of the jar along the edge can be well coated with glue.

To complete the composition, decorate the resulting snow globe along the edge of the lid with decorative braid or ribbon. Small New Year's miracle ready!

...and also a gift for a loved one!

If you want to do more than just Christmas decoration, and we offer a gift that will be intended only for one person and can show your love for him great idea– a ball with a photo! It is done in exactly the same way as we just described, only inside you will need to place a pre-laminated photograph of the person to whom the gift is intended. Well, or yours together, looking at it for a long time winter evenings, he will remember you with warmth and joy :)

Hi all! And again we will create! Today my little one and I are faced with the task of making a snow globe with our own hands. And you know, we are already rubbing our palms with pleasure in anticipation of a miracle! And we will do this Miracle ourselves! I invite you all to be witnesses and accomplices. Let's create everything together!

What will we talk about in the article? First, I will voice some details regarding necessary tools and material. Then the subtleties of making the ball. And at the end I have prepared a master class for you. The program is extensive and designed with the help of little ones in mind! It seems that everything is so serious that there is nothing to trust them with. But I think that you and I will find something that the kids can do too! Here we go?!

When you hold this ball in your hands, it seems that the only thing needed to make it is magic. They shook it a little, and suddenly everything crumbled into a charming snowy day. A real mystery! And really, this riddle can be done at home? Yes! Can! And it is necessary!

For this we need:

  • Jar
  • Water - 5 parts
  • Glycerin - 1 part
  • "Snow"
  • History in the plot

Will any jar work? Will any material become snow? And which story to choose? Let's answer these questions!

Jar. We need everything in the bank to be clearly visible. Therefore, plastic or a jar with any design, pattern, sticker or edges will not work.

Water. Of course, without water everything will be much easier. But our goal is for the snow to swirl and fall slowly. Therefore, water is needed. Can’t do without her! But how can we prevent the snow from floating on the surface and settling slowly? This is why it is worth making a solution from glycerin.

Glycerol. There should be a lot of it, then the snowflakes will swirl. Ideally, the proportions of glycerin and water should be 1 to 5. Without glycerin, you can make a ball, but the snowflakes will quickly fall to the bottom. From quantity glycerin The speed of rotation of the snowflakes will depend; the more there is, the slower they will spin. Many people are interested in the question Can whether do snow ball without glycerin just on the water? We answer, no, without glycerin snowflakes will immediately fall to the bottom.

"Snow". What's suitable? Glitter, cut pieces of thin plastic or foil, artificial snow.

History in the plot. This is something worth thinking about. Firstly, what should the plot be about? It's best if it's themed. After all, the ball can be made for any occasion as a gift. You can take plants as decorations, figurines as heroes, etc. The ball with a photo inside looks original. But the photo should first be laminated or covered with tape.

You can even give it as a gift - a keychain with flying snow.

Tricks to help you make a cool snow globe

Now I will continue the topic I started. I’ll just show you how you can make a “ball” in different versions.

First of all, who said that you need pot-bellied jars? They can be of any shape and size. The main condition is that in order for the toy to look beautiful inside the jar, the container must be either slightly convex, and/or must be 2-3 cm higher than the figure.

Our New Year's story assumes that there will be snow. I offered several options to choose from. But these are mostly ready-made products. How to make artificial snow with your own hands at home? Yes, you can cut, as I already said, plastic. But you can also grate a candle or solid soap. Only in one case or another the water will become cloudy very soon. There are 2 more options for making snow yourself: eggshell, which was dried and then crushed; or diaper filler. It should be taken out and moistened a little. And it is indistinguishable from natural snow.

And I will immediately answer a question that may have arisen in your mind. Is it possible to make a ball without glycerin? Easily! It is replaced with very sweet syrup or Vaseline oil. Some people take refined glycerin instead vegetable oil. Take note of this idea too.

And one more nuance. For complete sealing, you need silicone tape or thin rubber; you can use a medical glove cut into strips.

Without glue, the structure will fall apart! Find glue that is not afraid of water. And it is desirable that it hardens quickly.

Last thing. The lid itself does not look presentable or elegant. It should be “disguised”. How? Ribbon, bow, paper strip.

Let's prepare a New Year's craft together

Since the holidays are approaching, my baby and I decided to make a snow globe for the New Year. At first we wanted to buy figurines of holiday heroes. But we went through everything we have and found everything we needed. So they didn’t put it off creative process, while there is time and the right mood.

A set of materials and tools for making crafts:

  • Jar with screw cap;
  • Figurine of a frog-Santa Claus with a red hat and on skis;
  • Sprigs of Christmas tree and juniper;
  • Rain;
  • Glue "Moment";
  • Silicone tape;
  • Scissors;
  • Water;
  • Glycerol;
  • Ribbon;
  • Cork;
  • Styrofoam;
  • Foil balls.

First of all, we make neat holes in the cork of a 5-liter water bottle, and insert plant decor into the holes.

Afterwards, when we fill the entire lid with glue, the structure will become completely stable. But even now it’s worth trying to keep the holes small and the plants to fit deeply into them.

Fill the lid with glue and install the “Santa Claus” figurine, lay out “drifts” of foil balls. And in the spaces between them we glue pieces of foam plastic.

The structure is ready. We fix it on the lid of the jar. Apply glue along the bottom of the lid. And when we put it in place, we additionally fix it with drops of glue on all sides.

Cover the side of the lid with tape.

Let's prepare the water. First fill it halfway, then add glycerin. If necessary, add more water, but remember that our structure will take up some space.

It is not always possible to completely remove air from the jar. And there is no particular need to do so.

We cut the rain into “snow” and lightly crumble the foam. This last one - my little one really liked it. I liked it so much that without him noticing, I had to catch part of his “work” and remove it from the jar, otherwise everything would have been covered in snow up to the very beginning.

Before connecting the lid and the jar, we will take care of complete sealing. Cover the thread with silicone tape.

All! The last step is to screw the lid on and turn the jar upside down! And we really like him!

The snow is spinning

Hello, dear readers! We all know factory-made glass balls with liquid and a beautiful composition, which, when shaken, “activate” snowfall inside the container, but not everyone knows that a similar item can be made independently. That is why today we will tell you how to make a snow globe with your own hands, practically from scrap materials. We recommend involving children in the process of creating such a wonderful item; it will be very interesting for them to observe and perhaps even participate in its recreation.

DIY glass ball with snow.

What you will need:

  1. A small jar with a screw cap (you can buy it specially glass jar with baby puree).
  2. Nail polish.
  3. Polymer glue or Moment.
  4. White tinsel or artificial snow.
  5. Scissors.
  6. White and silver glitter.
  7. A suitable figurine is clay, ceramic or plastic (sold in any souvenir departments).
  8. Glycerin (can be bought for about 8 rubles at absolutely any pharmacy).
  9. Purified water (distilled or purified with a home water filter).

How to make a snow globe with your own hands.

Using scissors, cut the white tinsel very finely, cut as finely as possible, since even the smallest particles will visually appear large in water.

Paint the lid of the jar with a matching nail polish color. Also pay attention to the inner walls of the lid, since more often than not the product will be in an upside-down state, which means that possible unadorned places will be evident.

After the varnish on the lid has hardened, glue the selected figure to the inside of it. We used a figurine of the Moscow Kremlin, it’s just a pity that the inscription on it is in English, but apparently in Moscow such products are purchased more often by foreign tourists than by our compatriots, since literally all the souvenirs are full of English-language engravings.

You can place Kinder Surprise figures, small figurines or small children's toys inside your snow globe. We recommend stopping by the gift shop and purchasing a tiny plastic Christmas tree or snowman. If you don’t want to look around the city for a souvenir shop, visit any hypermarket; they usually have departments with similar trinkets.

Try to select small figures. Glass with water will act as a magnifying glass, so a large composition will appear bloated and dimensionless.

Now let's move on to the next more interesting step, pour glycerin into the jar, look at the photo below to see how much we poured into the jar. small capacity. The speed of rotation of snowflakes will depend on the amount of glycerin; the more of it, the slower they will spin. Many people are interested in the question: is it possible to make a snow globe without glycerin just using water? The answer is no, without glycerin the snowflakes will immediately fall to the bottom of the container, while with it they can swirl around the composition inside the jar for quite a long time.

We also pour purified water into the jar with glycerin to the top. It is important that the water is crystal clear, which is why we recommend using either distilled water or simply purified in a home filter.

Well, here we come to the very interesting moment. Pour half a teaspoon of previously chopped white tinsel or prepared artificial snow into the jar. Mix it with a teaspoon and see how our snowflakes “come to life.” Do not add a lot of snow, otherwise the composition itself will not be visible behind the snowfall.

Add 1/3 teaspoon of white and silver glitter here. Mix everything thoroughly. Here I would like to say that the point with sparkles can, in principle, be completely skipped; snow alone will be quite enough.

We close the jar with a lid on which the figure is attached. Scroll the lid with special care so that the liquid does not start leaking out. Ideally, the lid should be treated with a layer of glue with inside, and only then tighten it.

Finally, the neck of the jar can be decorated with rhinestones, tied with a ribbon with a bow, or made from polymer clay spectacular stand. We decided to leave our snow globe with open lid and neckline, I didn’t want to burden the composition with unnecessary details.

Before you pick up your snow globe, wipe it with a napkin to remove any marks left during the creation process. Now shake our snow globe and admire the snowfall, as well as the playful shimmer of white and silver glitter.

Today you learned how to make a snow globe with your own hands, we hope this master class was comprehensive, but in any case, if you still have questions, or if they arose in the process of creating a similar composition, feel free to ask them in the comments, we’ll be happy to answer them we will answer.

How to make a “Snow Globe” with your own hands step by step with photos

Yunusova Alsu Rifkhatovna, teacher, MBDOU " Kindergarten No. 177", Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan
Description: A master class on an easy-to-make “snow globe”. Great option New Year's crafts. Suitable for making by older children preschool age. Useful Application cans from baby food.
Purpose of the master class: creating a New Year's "snow" globe with your own hands.
Tasks: introduce teachers and parents to the method of making a wonderful “snow globe”. Show the steps and tell manufacturing secrets.

New Year is a time of miracles and magic! Waiting for the New Year and preparing for it is probably even more interesting than the holiday itself. In kindergartens, teachers and children, in homes, children and parents are immersed in the process of creating a New Year's mood. They decorate rooms, watch movies and cartoons, buy gifts and toys, interior decorations such as snow globes... Snow globes have long been one of the main symbols of the New Year. And snow globes made by yourself are symbols of creativity, magic and New Year's mood at the same time!

To make a “snow globe” you needed:
a baby food jar, glitter and sequins, a toy (this time my daughter and I chose Olaf the snowman), super glue, glycerin, water, rhinestones and ribbon or braid to decorate the jar, hot glue gun.

Ball manufacturing progress
The first thing you need to do is see how the toy will look inside the jar, whether it is too small.

The photo shows that the toy is less than half the size of the can, so I placed a hand cream cap under the toy, thereby raising the snowman above the middle. You can choose higher toys, there will be less hassle.

Next, I glued the stand and toy with super glue. I used a lot of glue, one might say, I filled the edges. I left the lid with the toy to dry overnight. Tip: Even though it's super glue, when the layer is thick, it takes a long time to dry.

The next step was to prepare the liquid where the sparkles and sequins would float. The proportion of water and glycerin is somewhere around 50% to 50%. I always pour it on my eye. Maintaining the proportion exactly in milliliters is not so important. The sparkles are light, they fall for some time even in water.

Before adding glycerin to the water, I added glitter and sequins and stirred well so that they were saturated with water.

It's glycerin's turn. When adding it, you need to take into account the volume of the toy and stand (in my case).

I did a couple of fittings.

The main thing is that when the lid of the jar with the toy is tightly closed, the liquid should be exactly along the edge so that there is no air left in the jar.

All that remains is to decorate the edges of the jar. I used gold braid and rhinestones to match the color of the braid. I glued them on with hot glue.

The snow globe is ready))

Such snow globes can be not only snowy, but also so glamorous with princesses))))

Last year my kids and I made these fun souvenirs.

The imagination is limitless for realizing creative ideas and creating a unique New Year's interior. On the list original crafts and an unusual jar with snow - it’s not difficult to make it with your own hands. A ball of snow, in which, when shaken, snowflakes swirl and fancy ones float New Year's figures, for almost everyone is a distant childhood memory.

Master class for creating a winter-themed phantasmagoria with your own hands in an ordinary glass jar is incredibly simple. Shall we try?

Decoration materials

To create a New Year's jar with snow, we will need a tall and straight glass container with a screw-on iron lid with a volume of about 1 liter, loose foam or artificial snow, minifigures that will live in the jar with snow. Our decor includes a green Christmas tree and a funny snowman with a sleigh.

To create a unique New Year's decor The choice of miniature toys is quite wide. The main thing is that it fits in the jar. Santa Claus and deer, a Christmas tree, the Snow Maiden, gnomes, forest animals in the snow, in a word, everything that is somehow connected with the New Year and Christmas holidays.

It’s worth thinking about a platform stand for figures in a jar of snow. This can be a hand-made pedestal made from a piece of wood, polystyrene foam or cardboard. White cotton or wool balls will come in handy small size. You can make them yourself or buy them at a craft store. You will also need a needle, fishing line, glue/tape.

Step-by-step algorithm of work

Stylized New Year's jar in a festive interior it will be an excellent decoration for any room: living room, kitchen, nursery. Considering that you will make this miracle with your own hands, a festive atmosphere will appear in the house during the creative process.

  1. We thread the fishing line through a needle and string cotton or wool balls onto the fishing line. To secure them, use a drop of glue or a drop of nail polish (colorless) on one side of the middle of the ball.
  2. We attach a platform for a mini-toy to the bottom of the jar. Glue and double-sided tape will help with this.
  3. We place miniature figures on the bottom of the jar, while there is still no snow, and attach them so that they do not dangle when the jar moves.
  4. Sprinkle the glass bottom of the jar with artificial snow or loose foam so as to completely cover the “podium”. By the way, artificial snow for a jar is quite easy to make with your own hands. There are many on the Internet original recipes its manufacture.
  5. The crucial moment is “snow” in the bank. We attach the improvised garland using hot glue or tape to the screw-on lid. Eight to ten “cotton-snow” threads different lengthsbest option for New Year's decor of our magic jar.
  6. The final touch is to close the container with a lid with attached garlands and screw it on. The jar of snow is ready!

Imagination will suggest decor for winter, Easter, autumn jars in which you can use natural materials and a creative set of do-it-yourself figurines, toys, and accessories.

The shape of the can itself may also be interesting. The more unusual the glass container, the more intricate the painting inside can be. And a reason to create and use “can” decor with your own hands can arise at any moment.
