Structurally, the Stropuva boiler consists of two steel cylinders, one inside the other, with an outer layer of thermal insulation. The heated coolant is located in the space between the cylinders. The combustion process in the boiler occurs only in the top layer of fuel (wood, coal). Heated air is supplied to this layer of fuel through a telescopic pipe “7” with an air distributor from a special air heating chamber “4”. During the combustion process, the air distributor and telescopic pipe, under own weight gradually fall down, pushing combustion products to the base of the boiler.

Thus, the air distributor is always located on the upper, burning layer of fuel, namely in the center of the combustion zone.
