Cut out and glue the leaves to the pillow

So, to make your own New Year's pillow, find or sew a simple fleece pillowcase. Place a pillow in the pillowcase. Then let's start cutting out the leaves: it is not necessary to use a template for them or follow a certain shape and size. For our pillow we needed 50 leaves. After all the leaves are cut out, take a pillow and experiment with the placement of the leaves and their distance from each other. Create the first circle of the wreath. Once you have decided on the placement of the leaves, start gluing them to the pillow. Apply glue generously to the back of the pieces and press them well into the pillow. Remove excess glue protrusions with a cotton sponge or paper napkins.

Glue the second layer

Then, after the first layer of leaves is glued, proceed to the second. Continue laying out the leaves in the shape of a wreath and apply a lot of glue to ensure good adhesion of the parts. Leave the pillow with a wreath of leaves to dry completely for two to three hours.

Glue the pompoms

When the pillow is completely dry, glue on the soft pompoms. Use small pom-poms for this, which can be found in any sewing store. You can also roll pieces of cotton wool into balls and secure them with glue. Place the balls in the center of the leaves and secure well with glue. Ready! After the pillow has dried, decorate a sofa or chair in your living room with it.
