How to properly fill the road in the country. How to make a road in the country. In the Magadan region, the repair of the Kolyma highway is being completed. Severe frosts in winter and frequent rains in summer

Not all summer cottages in our country have a good asphalted entrance. Actually, there are no normal roads even to some villages, let alone to the sites. This leads us to the question - how to make your own way as cheaply as possible?

The cheapest options

If you are the only one concerned about the problem of the road, and none of the neighbors in the dachas wants to keep you company, then it is logical to assume that you will look for the least expensive option. Even if it is not as high quality as you would like.

The easiest approach is to level and compact the dirt road. To do this, it will be enough to hire a grader, which will even out the bumps in the road and remove the deep rut. If oversized vehicles (summer residents) often travel along the road, then it will quickly compact.

The only problem with this approach is that the dirt road rapidly loses its passability during rain, especially when it comes to soft soils, such as black soil. The latter will simply turn into an impenetrable mud swamp.

To combat this circumstance, there is a second approach - to fill the road with rubble or gravel. The method is more expensive, since you will need to buy a certain amount of material and ensure that it is delivered to the site. But on a gravel cushion you can ride in any weather.

The disadvantage of the method is that the rubble will gradually sink into the ground. Literally in 2-3 years, all the advantages of a gravel road will come to naught, and the procedure will have to be repeated.

The best option

When summer residents who are interested in the appearance of a normal road are at least a few people, they can consider building a full-fledged asphalt road, albeit using a simplified technology. At the same time, you can significantly save on materials by using asphalt chips, instead of laying a new roadbed. The crumb is obtained by processing the coating removed during the repair, so its price is not particularly high.

Options for a technological solution to the problem may be different, but in general, the laying of asphalt chips is as follows:

  • Determination of the length and width of the future road.
  • Removing the top layer of soil with parallel alignment. In the case of a small country road, along which agricultural machinery will not move, 300 mm will be enough.
  • Creation of a sand and gravel cushion. The layer of sand should be approximately 150 mm. At the same time, it must be well tamped as it is backfilled and spilled with water to compact. A layer of crushed stone 50-100 mm thick is laid on top. Crushed stone is also advisable to tamp.
At this stage, you should make sure that the road has a slight slope for the flow of water. If it is not foreseen, then water will accumulate on the road, which does not contribute to the durability of the coating.
  • On top of the rubble, asphalt chips are already pouring out, which must be rolled. Best of all, of course, with a skating rink, but you can also use non-specialized heavy equipment, a truck, for example.

Thus, you will get a full-fledged, durable and all-weather paved road at a very reasonable price.

Road pavements made in accordance with standard construction standards must meet a wide range of requirements. The coating must be strong, durable and have optimal insulation. upper layers. However, not in all areas it makes sense to equip multilayer canvases. More affordable and optimal in terms of characteristics is the filling of roads with a special filler. Properly selected fraction will allow you to exploit the formed base long time without the need for regular repairs.

backfill material

The bulk material is usually based on the loose remains of old road surfaces - for example, particles of concrete, asphalt, and even soil. The use of sand with gravel is also practiced, but such options are more expensive. Based on the combination of operational qualities, it is more expedient to use asphalt crumb. Such backfilling of roads with the addition of a binder bitumen after compaction provides a moisture-resistant and durable foundation. The reliability of the coating is determined high density, but on condition that a high-quality plasticizer was used, and compaction was carried out with special equipment.

The advantages of asphalt filler include resistance to climatic influences. Frost and precipitation are not terrible on such a basis. This, by the way, is the main difference from traditional road components. So, filling the road with rubble in practice can be washed away by rain. This also applies to sandy substrates, which, without a proper bituminous bond, only last for short periods. However, there are also disadvantages of asphalt dumps. Under influence sun rays it is possible to melt the plasticizer and, as a result, soften the web.

Road backfill technology

It should be noted right away that the use of several materials in one backfill is not allowed, except for special cases provided for by the project. Direct work is done from the edges of the base to the middle in layers. In this case, the entire width of the operated part should be covered, including sloped parts with soil. Secondary and additional dumping is not allowed due to its inefficiency. All subsequent inclusions will be washed off during use. However, in some cases, road filling provides for the possibility of expansion. After completion of the working steps, excess soil and filler are removed from the canvas. It is not necessary to take it out - if necessary, you can arrange additional filling along roadsides and exits.

Fill compaction

This part has on the formation quality characteristics coatings have a greater effect than the initial application asphalt crumb or rubble. Before compaction, each layer is leveled in accordance with the value of the longitudinal slope. Then you can start rolling the canvas using special equipment across the entire width of the road. In some areas, spot compaction should be performed. In order for the roadbed to be solid along the entire horizontal, problem areas are rammed manually using vibro-impact actions. At the same time, tamping plates cannot be used in areas where engineering communications are laid.

In the case of using loose fillers for the roadway, it is recommended to compact with lattice or cam rollers. Such a technique is used at the first stage, it is also possible to use machines on which the ballast is not fully loaded - by 10-15 tons. At the final stage of compaction, the road filling is rammed with pneumatic tires, the mass of which reaches 25 tons.

Restoration of roads by backfill

If the device of full-fledged canvases by backfilling is more often performed with asphalt chips, then in the case of repair of typical road structures, it is still recommended to use crushed stone. During capital restoration measures, a complete change of layers is carried out. Dumping only takes separate part in such works when creating a preparatory layer. The road surface is sprinkled with crushed stone in several layers. The first is a layer of a large fraction, after which it is replaced by a fine-grained coating. This is exactly the case when backfilling can be combined with asphalt concrete, acting as an auxiliary technological layer. If the area of the deformed section on the road does not exceed 25 m2, then instead of backfilling it is recommended to perform a standard

In what cases is backfill used?

IN traditional version dumping is carried out in areas that do not experience even medium loads from transport. In particular, the creation of such canvases on access surfaces outside the city is practiced. Also, with the help of this technology, a wide range of reconstruction works is carried out. By itself, backfilling is a necessary layer in standard constructions, therefore, in areas where there are no increased requirements for the upper layer, the road surface is left in the form of compacted asphalt chips. As for the use of the material as a technological component, crushed stone, for example, can act as an effective drainage layer.

Conclusion

As technology advances, so does the quality of road surfaces. Application modern technology, binder additives in solutions and effective principles laying allows you to create durable road structures. But, high quality is achieved at the expense of the corresponding price, while in some cases laying a full-fledged coating does not justify itself. It is in such situations that it is advisable to use a roadbed formed by backfilling. The main advantage of this technology is its availability, as well as low price. This is a recycled material, which, in essence, is recycled asphalt from old pavements - accordingly, it can be obtained with little or no investment. It remains only to fill and compact the mass of the web in accordance with the requirements for a particular site.

What crushed stone is better for backfilling the passage to the dacha?

IN road construction granite, gravel, lime and secondary material is used. To decide which crushed stone is better for filling the passage to the dacha, it is necessary to analyze the properties of each of its types.

The main types of crushed stone - inorganic bulk material

It occurs by crushing boulders, gravel, as well as rocks mined along the way. In addition, it is obtained by grinding substandard waste from the processing of ores and non-metallic minerals from other industries. The final stage of production is screening of the crushed product for separation by size into fractions (grains have a size of more than 5 mm).

Granite crushed stone is obtained from hard rock, which has a granular structure and is most common on the surface of the Earth. For high quality concrete, this is the best aggregate.

Gravel crushed stone has less strength than granite, but its radioactive background is extremely low, and much lower. This bulk material used in road construction, production of concrete and reinforced concrete products, in foundation work.

Gravel crushed stone is of two types:

  • Chopped is the usual crushed natural mom;
  • Gravel is a rounded pebbles of sea or river origin.

Limestone (dolomite) crushed stone is obtained by crushing limestone, consisting mainly of calcite. It is used in the production of reinforced concrete products and in road construction.

Secondary crushed stone for private housing construction

This bulk material is produced by grinding construction debris: asphalt, brick, concrete and the like.

The main advantage of secondary crushed stone is its cheapness (its price is on average twice lower than the cost of granite). Energy costs for production can be reduced by 8 times. The use of secondary crushed stone as a coarse aggregate reduces the cost of concrete by a quarter.

In some respects, this material is inferior natural species, but actively used:

  • As a coarse aggregate for concrete (strength 5-20 MPa);
  • In the road sector for filling congresses, roads, the construction of the lower layer of highways that do not have federal status;
  • For backfilling under sidewalks and paved areas;
  • To increase the strength characteristics of soft soils: at the bottom of pits, in engineering communications trenches.

Advice: for filling the entrance to summer cottage rational application which can be very cheap.

I want to fall asleep with gravel small plot country road passing by the house.

The road is full of potholes, is it necessary to fill them with something beforehand and level the road a little in this way? Or will it be enough to level the rubble qualitatively? If necessary, why is Anatoly better?

Nikita   level-compact-fill with crushed stone-compact and asphalt

Gennady Don't forget to compact with a vibrator after backfilling.

Artem  The ideal option is to fill potholes with rubble, then sand over the entire area, then rubble over the entire area.

Dmitry  sand and small pebbles, compact and then crushed stone

Nikolai   first with stone with earth, then with rubble

Arthur  can be done right
can be easier for yourself
you can go away
in each case a different technology

Anton   You need to level the base with sand, at least 10 cm, then crushed stone, the coating is asphalt concrete. If crushed stone is put on the ground, the water does not go away.

rubble on the road

How to make a parking lot from rubble? | Topic author: Yaroslav

In summer, the soil is quite hard, the grass does not grow, but in autumn and spring it is a disaster; rut, puddles, in March froze with the rear wheels - almost cut down with an ax. Yuri does not want global structures.

Konstantin - there is a material that allows water to pass through, but does not allow grass to grow and, accordingly, rubble will not go into the ground on it - put it before pouring gravel, then fill it with gravel, and after gravel - screening. I don’t remember what the material is called, but they know in the construction store - ask.

Mikhail  Just buy a stove 2-4.. and install it. . it costs 15,000 rubles))) And it’s useless to throw rubble on a beznuhu ...

Vladimir  Crushed stone, then screening out in the crack

Pavel  You fall asleep and equalize

Pyotr excavation, from the removal of surface soil Eduard, to clear the site of rhizomes, grass and other debris. River sand 10-20 cm thick is poured into the formed hole in an even layer. The sand is very well compacted. As in other works, sand can be watered for better tamping and compaction. It is advisable to foresee a slope and a drain for water on the site, and form something like a drainage with pipes, backfilling with gravel and a drain along the parking contour excess water into the ground. Then the site is not afraid of rain puddles or water left after washing the car.

Sasha - on your rubble, and even with sand under it, there will be the same swamp as on ordinary soil. Crushed stone is not an independent coating. Crushed stone is poured for asphalting, or used for concrete mixtures.

In addition, crushed granite rubble will cost you good money.

How do we make roads in a dacha cooperative))).

The cheapest gravel Ilya crumbles into thin layer sand Victor, then it is rammed by the motorists themselves with their wheels, where it fails, they are poured, then they bring a cut of asphalt Boris and scatter it from above. Motorists again diligently ram it, the sun heats up and sticks together. It turned out well, you can ride. Those who do not like the black color of the coating have to bring dirt in their cars and gradually sprinkle it on the road ... it becomes the color of clay

Maxim  I do not recommend gravel, it spreads under the wheels. It can be made from boards 3-4 cm thick, first lay the boards across the platform and then 2 wide ones along the wheels or two each and fasten them with nails. You can not cut, it is cheaper.

Apr 15, 2015 - We are going by car to Crimea: which road to take, ferry crossing, .... It is better to stay overnight in Rostov-on-Don. At the entrance to...

One of the problems in Russia is roads, but in the state they are in, this is no longer a problem, but a real disaster. It takes a very long time to wait for the repair of roads in the city and on federal highways, and it is almost unrealistic to wait for the laying of a new road leading to the country house. In addition, even if you are lucky and this road is built, the quality of such a road will not be the best, since no one has canceled kickbacks. The only option in this situation will self-laying roads.

Self-laying the road is an interesting option, but it requires a certain approach. You can make a road alone if only you will use it. It often happens that having made a path for themselves, everyone and sundry will use it, but it is impossible to prohibit it. Therefore, the most the best option- to chip in with the neighbors.

Now let's look at how to make a road to your summer cottage with your own hands.

How to make your way home cheap

As a rule, for a dacha cooperative, you can make the simplest and most cheap road, which is quite enough to drive normally, not through the mud. To do this, you can fill it with rubble, gravel or slag. It's pretty practical option and also not too costly. What does that require? First you need to remove the top fertile layer of the earth, which is approximately 25-30 centimeters. Width common road it is best to do 4-5 meters so that two cars can pass freely, if you are making the road for yourself, then 2 meters wide will be enough. Then you need to fill in a layer of sand, approximately 20 centimeters and compact it well, pouring it with water. When the sand is compacted and dried, a coating of crushed stone, gravel or slag is poured and leveled. The height of the coating layer should be about 10 centimeters. It is best to roll with a roller, but if it is not there, then you can use a heavy truck, for example, a KAMAZ truck that brought crushed stone.

How to make a good road

In order to make a quality road, you need asphalt. Please note that if you want to build a new road, then you need to get permission from the owner of the land to build it, otherwise the road will be illegal and it can be demolished. If the road passes through the same place, then permission may not be obtained, but still it is better to clarify this point.

Asphalt paving needs more attention. Just like in the previous case, you will need to make a base. To do this, it will be necessary to remove a layer of earth. This time we are removing not only the fertile layer of the earth, but also with the expectation that upper layer asphalt was slightly above ground level, a few centimeters.

To begin with, we lay a sand cushion, 10 centimeters high and tamp it well. After that, you need to fill up a layer of rubble. If only cars will drive on the paved road, then the gravel layer should be approximately 15 centimeters. After that, the rubble must be well rolled with a roller, at least 5 times. At the same time, with the help of a level, you need to organize at this stage the slope of the road in order for water to flow from it. The slope should be small, but provide good water flow. If this is not done, then rainwater and water after the snow melts will form into puddles, and accordingly destroy the asphalt pavement. It is in order to extend the life of the asphalt pavement that a slope is made.

When the crushed stone is qualitatively compacted, we lay the asphalt. Asphalt is laid in several layers. For an ordinary country road, on which trucks will not drive, 2 layers of asphalt 4-5 cm each will be enough. Asphalt flooring is best done with special equipment so that it is evenly distributed over the entire section of the road. We recommend rolling asphalt with a roller, the mass of which does not exceed 5-6 tons, so that it does not roll the asphalt very tightly. Rolling should be done approximately 5 times.

After the asphalt pavement is laid, it is recommended to equip the edges of the road in such a way as to ensure the flow of water.
