Grohe officially began its activities in 1936. But its history goes back deeper - to the very beginning of the twentieth century, when the enterprising and energetic German Hans Grohe from the town of Schiltrech opened a tiny workshop. Hans was involved in the production of various metal products and plumbing parts. By 1908, the customers of the young Grohe and his company Hansgrohe included not only plumbers and city residents, but also some wholesale companies from Berlin and Prague. Hans's eldest son continued his father's work, and the middle son, Friedrich, decided to found his own Grohe and left for the city of Chimera. It was 1936 - the beginning new history, which is destined to become a world-famous legend.

The Grohe company is actively developing, export channels are opening, the first batches of mixers are being sent abroad. Of course, the war left its sad mark on the company's activities. But already in the second half of the fifties, Friedrich acquired a company producing thermostats and established the production of electric and gas water heaters.

Since 1961, Grohe has confidently entered the international arena. One after another, subsidiaries are opened in France, Austria, Italy, the USA, Belgium, Holland and the UK. Today the company has representative offices in fifteen countries around the world. Its headquarters are in Düsseldorf and its own design center is located in Hemer-Edelburg.

What makes Grohe products special?

Why have Grohe products captivated consumers almost all over the world? With its uniqueness, impeccable quality, design excellence and unconditional environmental friendliness. All developments and technologies of the company are aimed at saving natural resources and protection environment. Grohe specialists were able, like no one else, to unite modern technologies, stylish design and careful savings. When purchasing bathroom products from this company, the consumer knows in advance that water consumption will now be significantly lower, and troubles such as leaks will be completely eliminated.

Grohe management is very sensitive to its reputation and makes every effort to ensure that the quality of its products always strives exclusively upward and upward. Only highly qualified employees, only Hi-tech, only quality materials. There are no trifles here - all the details, all production processes and each client are important. Convince yourself of the unrivaled quality of Grohe products!

Back in 1901, Black Forest artisan Hans Grohe opened a small business. And he called it by his own name - Hansgrohe SE. 35 years later, his son, Friedrich Grohe, created his own company. And he simply called it Grohe AG. And, of course, neither in 1901 nor in 1935 could anyone have imagined that it was these two “related” enterprises that would make a name for the German plumbing industry, becoming “beacons” in the market in the 21st century quality faucets, cranes, etc.

Since 1993, another brand has come under the Hansgrohe banner - Axor. Under this brand there are faucets with original designs: before joining Hansgrohe, Axor was a design company.

Brand Axor-Hansgrohe

Hansgrohe currently employs 3,501 people. The production base is represented by 10 factories in different parts of the world. In Russia, the interests of the company are represented by Hansgrohe LLC (website - http://www.hansgrohe.ru ), located in Moscow. There are representative offices in all federal districts except the Far Eastern.

The Hansgrohe brand is represented on the market by 344 models of bathroom faucets (three styles - "Vanguard", "Modern" And "Classic") and 4 lines of kitchen faucets: P uraVida, Metris, Talis And Focus.

The Axor brand in Russian kitchens and bathrooms is represented by personalized collections: Starck, Citterio, Urquiola, Uno.

Faucet from the Starck X collection

Philippe Starck became famous for developing a joystick-shaped mixer control lever. Antonio Citterio - a wild Italian fantasy. The Uno line is wall-mounted mixers designed by the creative duo Andreas Haug and Tom Schönherr.

Like Hansgrohe, another German company– – famous not only for its high-quality faucets. For example, on our website you can get acquainted with such type of Grohe products as faucet hoses

And beauty costs money! Prices for Hansgrohe mixers fluctuate mainly around the buoy of 20 thousand rubles. Original designs by Starck and Citterio with joysticks and helical handles - for 50 thousand. But this does not mean that access to the global brand is tightly cut off for the “simple Russian pensioner”: Logis sink faucets can be bought for only 4,259 rubles. The main thing is to have enough money until your next retirement!

Mixer Axor Citterio M

Consumer reviews are respectful: reliable, durable, comfortable, beautiful. The design is beyond praise.

But, as one would expect, they do not tolerate domestic hard water well. Under its influence to the outcome warranty period sometimes it starts to leak.

There are also complaints that when switching the mixer to shower mode, the pressure noticeably weakens.

Perhaps these defects are interrelated. Experts advise installing filters on pipes.

Grohe mixer

The “son company” Grohe AG is positioned as Europe’s largest manufacturer of sanitary ware for kitchens and bathrooms, saunas, showers, etc. The group of companies employs 9,300 people.

Production facilities include 5 factories: 3 in Germany and one each in Portugal and Thailand. Gossips claim that another plant has been opened in Shanghai, but confirmation of this information could not be found.

Grohe company logo

In Russia, product promotion is carried out using the Russian version of the site http://www.grohe.com . The representative office is located in Moscow, in the Borodino business center.

It produces an incredible number of faucets of all types for bathrooms, showers, bidets, and kitchens. Main design lines: Spa, Cosmopolitan, Contemporary, Authentic etc.

Grohe basin mixer

Of course, all types of temperature and water pressure control are presented: valve, single-lever, touch (for sinks) - to the last type include line models Eurosmart, Cosmo, Europlus, Euroeco.

Grohe kitchen faucet with pull-out spout

Moreover, there are models without handles or valves at all: turning the water on and off is done by turning the aerator!

Of particular interest is thermostatic mixers (that is, those that heat water before supply). There are designs that can be attached to the bathtub (for example, Grohtherm 2000 new).

The number of shower thermostats exceeds the imagination - 49 models. And some are at very reasonable prices. Allure– 6549 rub. (prices for Grohe products hereinafter are according to the price list of the online store http://www.grohe77.ru accessed 23 January 2015). But there are models for 60 thousand rubles. Eg, Grohtherm XL.

Grohe faucets are generally not cheap. The most “democratic” model for the kitchen that we found in catalogs is Grohe Costa L– 3876 rub. But there are also copies worth one hundred thousand rubles. For example, mixer Grohe Red Due with boiler – 97,405 rub.

You can't get burned on Grohe faucets.

Are they worth it or not?

The reviews coincide with those about the products of the “father” company. Plus philippics about the overly wide (according to some forum members) use of plastic in construction.

In general, in wide circles there is an opinion that Hansgrohe works mainly for Europe, Grohe for developing markets.

And, as a parting word to customers, let us inform you that for some reason salespeople in Moscow stores pronounce the name of this German company in the French manner. That is, you should not ask “Grohe mixer” or “Grohe mixer”, but “Grohe mixer” - then you will be understood immediately and correctly.

But, of course, not only “Groe” and “Hansgroe” present German mixers at Russian market. In terms of popularity in the Russian Federation, they may even be superior

Grohe thermostatic mixers

Elghansa mixers

Elghansa company logo

The main positive is the prices. Most models are traded in the range of 3-5 thousand rubles. (chrome plated) and up to 8 thousand rubles. (made of bronze). Of course, there are also models “for Rublyovka” - for example, Elleci Madeira with tap for drinking water for 22 thousand rubles, but this is rather an exception to the price order.

Elghansa mixer – bronze

And, at reasonable prices, quite German quality! Surprisingly, even the most malicious review sites contain only light sighs about the lack of spare parts somewhere in Uryupinsk. Or the unwillingness of individual housewives to understand the question of which knob needs to be turned where in order to switch the water from the tap to the shower!

Elghansa’s handles and other plumbing exterior are worth a look: Elghansa professes stunning high-tech in the design of chrome-plated fixtures and nostalgic retro for bronze fittings. Maybe there is too much hi-tech and nostalgia for delicate tastes, but in Russia Elghansa faucets go with a bang!

— I’ve been selling these mixers for 5 years. Not a single complaint, someone writes "Alexander" on the website id4.ru.

— The most the best plumbing- this is Elgansa. There are no marriages. “I myself trade in Novorossiysk,” echoes him Refat from the hero city on the Black Sea coast.

Elghansa brand mixer in Hi-Tech style

And such a positive thing despite the fact that the company does not hide the fact that some of its products are manufactured in China!

It remains to add that the Russian representative office of Elganza is located in Moscow, all coordinates, catalog, price tags can be found at http://elghansa.ru .

At approximately the same prices, somewhat less popular in the Russian Federation

Kraft mixers

Or, more precisely, WasserKRAFT - this is the spelling adopted on the company’s official website http://www.wasserkraft.ru .

The cool attitude of the domestic consumer towards these products is obviously explained by the fact that German engineers are not as vigilant as in the case of Elganza, monitoring Chinese workers. The reviews are not vehemently negative, but rather lukewarm: some are annoyed by the noise when switching from cold to hot water, some are outraged by the rapid wear of the rod, others were not pleased with the craftsmen service company.

Wasserkraft company logo

So, drop by drop, the reputation of Kraft mixers in the Russian Federation began to erode...

On the positive side, we can note favorable reviews of the design and moderate prices.

Faucet "Kaiser"

If anyone thinks that nothing is more German than the Kaiser mixer (in graphics trademark even the imperial crown is included!) and it’s impossible to come up with, he’s wrong. A number of users even doubt that the company producing these faucets is even registered in Germany.

Kaiser company logo

- Frankly Chinese... Rusted in a year, - from the comments on the id4.ru forum.

— I installed a Kaiser mixer in the kitchen, it worked fine for two years - no problems, but one fine day it stopped turning off the water, both hot and cold, in the same place.

Conclusion: “Kaiser” came across some not so Chinese. Not German at all.

High-tech Kaiser mixer

The only good thing is the great variety of designer lines within this brand. True, it was not possible to find a branded Russian-language website for Kaiser faucets. I had to navigate to the online store http://kranlux.ru . Having harnessed the entire editorial staff, we calculated at least 55!

German plumbing:

Grohe is a leading international brand in the field of manufacturing faucets, shower systems, concealed shower systems, installations for wall hung toilets, urinals, bidets and washbasins.

MIXERS

SHOWER SYSTEMS

INSTALLATIONS

Founded: 1936, family business, now owned by an international investment fund, Germany.

Industrial base: Germany, Portugal, Thailand.

There are things that are nice to sell, such as Roca, Kaldewei and, of course, the German Grohe.

Grohe is known for its faucets around the world. . Grohe is a symbol of reliability, design and advanced technology.

The main directions of development of the company for the coming years are:

Quality;

Technology;

Caring for the environment.

As mentioned above, Grohe is a leading manufacturer in the sanitary fittings market, in addition, a world leader in scientific and technological innovation. 80% of production is concentrated in Germany: factories in Hamer, Lara and Porta Westfalica. Other production: Porto, Portugal; Toronto, Canada; Kaeng, Thailand.

The founder of Grohe is Friedrich Grohe.

Grohe's global market share is:

— bath faucets 40%;

— kitchen faucets 12%;

— showers and shower systems 31%;

sanitary systems 14%;

— spare parts and accessories 3%.

Overall 8% market share in sanitary fittings sales worldwide.

Grohe provides a guarantee for its products for 5 years, and further service is possible.

Grohe provides that single-lever faucets will be able to operate for 12 years, installations for wall-hung toilets, bidets, urinals for 10 years, two-lever faucets for 20 years, thermostatic faucets for 10 years, showers for 10 years.

Surface Grohe faucets neatly coated with a layer of high quality chrome. It provides protection from damage and a bright gloss; the coating has a high degree of wear resistance.

My sales experience has shown that Grohe is the choice of people who do not skimp on quality. Of course, when there is no finance, it is difficult to buy Grohe. But in principle, average income will allow you to buy Grohe and thereby have a cool thing in your house or apartment. Which, I want to point out, is not a sin to show to others.

For example, one of my favorite lines of faucets, Grohe Eurocube, has always evoked enthusiastic responses from customers.

All of the above is clear evidence that if you buy Grohe plumbing fixtures for your apartment, you will not regret your choice!

Finally, I decided to start finalizing the article on the Groe brand.

Well, if we talk about Groy, then we need to get down to detailed consideration of collections (series) of Grohe mixers there are quite a few of them. Since I had the honor of actively selling the entire Grohe assortment, and at one time I also partially supervised people who also sold Grohe, so there is something to say and say professionally.

And so, the Grohe series:

Allure Brilliant

Eurodisc Cosmopolitan

Let's go into detail:

1. Euroeco- the simplest series (not counting Bau Edge, Bau Loop... but I don’t even consider them, the simple series, with plastic nuts, without rotation limiters, the type to combat cheap faucets, are not even in the Grohe catalogs, although this is Grohe). Euroeco - cheap option! If you need a good cheap bath faucet, then this is Grohe Euroeco. Bath shower mixer, Grohe Euroeco. Washbasin faucet - here is the question, the market now mainly offers small faucets, at best they are good for a small washbasin, for example toilet room. Although higher ones have appeared in the Grohe Euroeco line, I have not seen them, and most likely they are on order.

Result: a good cheap series, in principle no problems, as assembly rules are in Thailand, but there have never been any problems with this. Therefore, there is no need to wrap yourself up. The bad thing is simple design and not a very good faucet option. It is difficult to put a couple together in the bathroom (on the bathtub and washbasin)

2. Eurosmart- the second most expensive series, after Grohe Euroeco, better design, smoother lines, as a rule, I preferred to sell these particular mixers as cheaper and at the same time with a better design. But this is a matter of taste! Oh yes, by the way., I also sold these mixers because I offered a washbasin mixer in conjunction with the bathtub mixer. Which had nuts at the end in a pressed liner (do not forget all washbasin and kitchen faucets have a pressed water line up to 40 cm long, pay attention to this!!!), while Grohe Euroeco has fittings in washbasin mixers! !! This means that for the Grohe Euroeco washbasin faucet you need to buy universal Grohe valves (and this is + $10 cost). Therefore, Eurosmart has the best overall price. Moreover, the Eurosmart medium washbasin faucet has recently appeared and they are good for completing the set.

Result: in my opinion, the Eurosmart series is of better quality (design, flexible connection), good price, good design and no problems with the fittings on the washbasin faucet. If you need cheap faucets, this is the series for you. Assembly in Thailand, but don't worry, the quality is top notch!

3. – a more “squared” form of design. I have this exact series of faucets at home. More massive faucets compared to Euroeco and Eurosmart. There is also a mixer average size, for the money, this is a cheap series. A good option.

Result: who needs a more impressive faucet, with clearer edges in the design, you this one will do series. Assembled in Thailand, high quality. Good technology, good design.

4. – already more expensive, interesting design, not for everybody. A very good bath faucet. If you are going to buy this series, expect that the washbasin faucet is more suitable for a small washbasin, I think 60 maximum. Since the mixer is not tall.

Result: Eurostyle is a more advanced series. If you like the design, buy it! Quite good design. Nothing supernatural... but very good! Assembly, most likely Thailand

5. – everything is the same as Eurostyle. But it was made even better, with a longer spout for the bathtub faucet and a taller faucet for the washbasin.

Result: good, worthy series. The taller faucet makes the Eurostyle more preferable if you're buying a pair.

6. Eurodisc Cosmopolitan– a very good series, in my opinion, the best series. How many times have I sold it, only the German assembly (although I didn’t notice the difference; the quality of Thailand, Portugal, and Germany is no different). A lot of these mixers were sold. Simply good. Tall washbasin mixer, tilted. Long, massive bath faucet. Ascetic German, Groevsky design. I highly recommend it!!!

Result: the combination of all indicators makes this series the best for assembling a pair: bath mixer, washbasin mixer. The best option, in terms of price/quality ratio.

7. – a series of ordinary design is sufficient. German pragmatism and minimalism. Nice massive faucets. The topic is for amateurs, if you like it, take it, the thing is very weighty and you can simply feel the power of the product.

Result: If you like the design, buy it. Nothing supernatural. In terms of sales, rarely sold. Panels for built-in shower systems are interesting, minimalism....

8. one of the most popular shopping themes. Many are tired of smooth lines from Soviet standards, and even from the Central European standard of plumbing design; many want to see rigid, geometrically slender lines in their bathroom. Eurocube is one of Grohe's best-selling faucet series. Both regular Grohe faucets and overhead panels for built-in shower systems are popular. I sold this series to both VIP clients, designers, and ordinary people who are tired of the usual faucet options. Production is usually in Thailand, sometimes in Germany. In general, a lot was sold, no complaints.

Result: the best series with a design in strict geometric shapes, very selling, well made and original. ….

Everyone is tired... to be continued... If you have any questions, write in the comments on VKontakte below or email me.

Plumbing can be high-tech and smart. Grohe has proven this. The largest manufacturer of sanitary equipment in Europe has been setting the pace for more than a century in those things that create comfort and coziness in our homes.

Friedrich Grohe's first steps

At the beginning of its history, GROHE was called Berkenhoff & Paschedag. It was a metal products factory. In 1936, it was acquired by Friedrich Grohe, who limited the company's product range to plumbing fixtures only. The choice of industry was quite logical, because since 1901 he had worked in the family business - the Hansgrohe plumbing company, which was founded by his father.

Just 2 years later, the renewed factory received its first order from abroad. In 1948 the company became Friedrich GROHE Armaturenfabrik.

A little later, in 1961, a plant was acquired outside of Germany - in France. A year later, the French factory GROHE received exclusive rights to produce single-lever mixers.

What is the difference between the plumbing brands Grohe and Hansgrohe

In 1968, Friedrich Grohe, in order to have funds to expand production, sold 51% of the shares. The company has ceased to exist family business, and took a step towards a dominant position in the market. By the way, at the father's factory HansGROHE everything is different. His descendants are still at the helm of Hans Grohe's brainchild.

By the early 2000s, renowned competitors and manufacturers of sanitary fittings became part of GROHE AG.

IN different time were taken over by Eichelberg, the oldest manufacturer of sanitary ware in Germany, founded in 1817, Carl Nestler - the first manufacturer of thermostats for personal use in the bathroom, Skalatherm with their innovative mixer and DAL - the technological leader of the sanitary ware market, which invented the first flush valve back in 1914 .

As a result, Groe has become a leading innovator in the industry.

The most famous inventions and technologies of GROHE

Single lever mixer- back in 1968, the world saw one of the most convenient inventions that simplified life.

GROHE TurboStat- mixer with thermostat or thermostatic mixer. A device especially suitable for showers. Allows you to maintain the required temperature without human intervention. You only need to choose comfortable temperature, then the mixer will control its compliance with the choice itself.

GROHE Cooltouch- a technology that solved the problem of heating the chrome surface of faucets and accidental burns, which is especially important for young children. Grohtherm is a line of mixers that uses this development.

GROHE Ondus- luxury bathroom fixtures. Allows you to control water temperature, flow and other characteristics with the touch of a finger.

GROHE Blue- stunning kitchen faucet with drinking water tap. Just imagine - you open the tap and purified cool carbonated water flows out. The GROHE Blue drinking water faucet makes this dream a reality.

GROHE Red- thermostatic sink mixer. Eliminates the need to install a huge boiler. Equipped with a special GROHE ChildLock handle that allows you to safely turn on boiling water.

And finally, the collections GROHE SPA, which allow you to make a real Spa out of your bathroom. The Grohe company has created four varieties of Spa - GROHE Ondus, Allure, Atrio and Grandera. Each collection will harmoniously fit into the bathroom design thanks to simple geometric shapes: circle, square, triangle, oval. At the same time, even the most technologically advanced products of the brand continue to serve the main three main values - simplicity, convenience and technical excellence.
