Venice living room assembly. How to assemble a wall: master class. Installation of glass doors

If you purchased furniture and were offered free assembly, consider yourself lucky. Typically the cost of assembly is about 10% of the cost of the furniture. And very rarely this service is provided for free. If you need to assemble large furniture, for example a wall in the living room or kitchen set, the amount can be significant, so those who like to do something with their own hands prefer to assemble the furniture themselves. Let's consider special case- how to assemble a wall for the living room. This is a rather painstaking process that will take a lot of time if you are not a professional assembler.

The assembly process will be presented in detail in the form of photographs using the example of a Flora wenge wall.

Unpacking and checking contents

First, check the complete set of parts and accessories according to the lists.

The wall and accessories for it are supplied in boxes.

Unpack the box with elements for the wardrobe.

We arrange the elements and prepare the tools.

A set of necessary tools

Prepare the following tools:

  • screwdriver,
  • level,
  • pencil,
  • ruler or tape measure,
  • screwdrivers,
  • furniture stapler,
  • hammer.

Step-by-step assembly process

First, let's assemble two drawers central section. On the fronts of the drawer you can see three holes on each side. Eccentric screws are inserted into the central ones, and wooden dowels are inserted into the side ones. Then we install the sidewalls and tap them lightly with a hammer so that there are no gaps left. We insert a round eccentric into the hole on the side of the sidewall and twist it clockwise. The process described in detail is presented in the article about assembling the chest of drawers (there is also information about installing the guides on the drawer). Now let's install back wall drawer, it is secured with a Euroscrew. Tighten the Euroscrew.

You can use a Euro wrench to tighten the screws.

The bottom is installed in the groove on the facade, adjusted with a hammer (tapping along the edge until the bottom fits completely into the groove).

We attach the bottom of the drawer with staples using a furniture stapler. If you don’t have a furniture stapler, you can get by with a hammer and nail the bottom.

Screw the handle to the drawer. Here is the handle itself and the screws for it.

The boxes are ready. Let's start collecting the pencil case. We lay out the boards from it: on the left - bottom, on the right - top.

We fasten with European screws top cover pencil case.

In the diagram this is part number 23.

Now we attach the base. This is part number 29. Use Euro screws.

We fasten the bottom knitting (part No. 26).

We drill the middle tie (shelf – part No. 26).

Turn the pencil case on its side and place the second side on top. We insert European screws into the holes.

We insert European screws into the top cover of the pencil case and the base.

Tighten all the Euroscrews.

We close the Euroscrews with plugs.

Holes for hinges are already made on the side of the pencil case.

Place the loop so that the holes for fastening coincide with the holes on the side and screw it on.

We turn the pencil case over and nail the back wall with furniture nails.

We nail the bearings.

We insert shelf holders into the holes on the inside sidewall and install shelves (parts No. 25 in the diagram).

This is what a pencil case looks like without a door.

Let's move on to assembling the wardrobe. The process is similar to assembling a pencil case. First we attach the wardrobe lid.

Then we attach the top knitting (part No. 13).

We install the bottom binding on the European screws.

Here general form wardrobe at this stage of assembly.

This part performs the function of reinforcement (No. 14).

This is what the bottom of the cabinet looks like with the plinth attached (part #28)

We turn the cabinet over onto the finished side.

We place the second side panel on top and insert Euroscrews into the existing holes.

Tighten the Euroscrews and plug the holes.

On the side with inside There are also holes for mounting hinges. We fasten the hinges with self-tapping screws.

Let's move on to installing the rod.

We put the flange on both sides of the rod and tighten it with a Euro wrench.

On the sides at the top under the binding (part No. 13) there are holes for the rod.

We fasten the rod with self-tapping screws.

We do the same with the second side.

Thrust bearings are nailed to the cabinet from below.

The cabinet is lying on its side and the attached hinges are visible.

Now we turn the cabinet over and nail the back wall. It consists of two halves. These halves must be inserted into the “connecting beam” (in fact, it is a plastic bendable part). Then nail it.

We put the cabinet in place. We check with a level whether it is installed correctly.

For a tight fit to the wall, you can remove the baseboard or cut a notch on the side itself.

We begin to assemble the central part of the wall with a niche for the TV. Lay out the bottom boards (parts 6, 17 and 18).

We insert European screws into the existing holes in the sidewall and binding and tighten.

We do the same on the other side.

We fasten the base (part No. 30).

We attach the partitions (20 and 21), insert the screws and fasten them.

Then we screw the base.

This turned out to be the bottom of the central part of the wall. Lying on his side. Above is top, below is bottom.

We turn it over and insert dowels into the existing holes in the sidewalls and partitions (so that they stick out).

Place the lid (5) on top so that it fits into the dowels.

This is how we press the lid.

Drawer guides.

We put the guides on the sidewalls (on parts 17 and 20), do not confuse the left and right.

It is better to install the guides when the cover is not yet installed!

This is what happened, then 2 boxes are inserted here.

General form.

Now we nail the back wall from behind.

We attach two partitions (parts 12 and 12).

A bandage (7) was placed on these partitions.

We attach the sidewalls (9 and 10) to the knitting (7).

We install the partition (16). And don't forget to install plugs.

This is what happened, the completely assembled central part of the wall.

We nail the back wall from above. It also consists of two halves.

Now we put the door on the pencil case. The door has large holes at the top and bottom.

We put the hinge hinge on top. Then downstairs.

The door also has two large holes in the middle. Loops are inserted into them and screwed on. There are no holes in the middle on the sides.

Glue the mirrors to the closet door. Place the tape randomly.

Carefully apply the mirrors to front side doors and press.

We place the doors on the cabinet, on the hinges: first the top hinge, then the bottom. For convenience, you can place a support under the door to prevent it from sliding. Then attach the two middle loops.

The second door is secured in the same way.

Now we attach hinges to the two upper doors and mark the place for fastening according to the gas elevator installation diagram.

This mount is shown in pencil in the diagram.

We screw the mount.

Set. Gas lift, two fastenings (oblong on the door, round on the side of the cabinet).

If you suddenly fastened a round fastener to a gas lift, then the only way to remove it is to pull the bracket a little with a screwdriver.

This is a cabinet door with fastenings for a gas elevator.

Now we attach the door to the top of the binding (part 15). You need to screw the door very evenly.

This is how they aligned the raised door. View from above.

We screw the round mount, having previously marked the place for fastening according to the gas elevator installation diagram.

Adjustment of the hinges is carried out according to the following scheme:

Here is the wall assembled. All that remains is to install the handles on all the doors. We hope our tips helped you.

A practical guide for those who decided to independently assemble a wall slide purchased at a furniture store.

Due to the availability of the information provided and step-by-step recommendations, even an amateur can handle assembling a wall of furniture for the living room.

Usually, all purchased furniture is equipped with some kind of instruction, where all stages of work are perfectly painted.

So let's get started...

Let's look at each step step by step:

1 Instructions from the manufacturer

Read the manufacturer's instructions carefully. It usually contains important information on furniture assembly, list of parts, names of furniture fittings, installation methods, warranty provided and operating rules.

2 Preparing the site for assembly

Prepare a place to work: free the room from interfering objects, completely clear the place where it is supposed to stand assembled wall, spread an unnecessary blanket, carpet or cardboard on the floor (to prevent damage to the floor covering).

3

Sort the parts by size and color; it is also better to set the facades aside separately (so as not to accidentally damage them).

4 Assembly of large structures

It is always necessary to start assembly with larger structures. Therefore, if there is a cabinet or pencil case in the wall, start with them.

5

If holes have already been drilled in the parts, then all you have to do is screw together the sides, roof and bottom of the cabinet, not forgetting about the stationary shelves.

If there are no holes, you should draw them relative to the thickness of the chipboard (chipboard 16 mm - distance to the center of the hole - 8 mm; chipboard 18 mm - distance to the center of the hole - 9 mm).

6

After the main structure is assembled, you should nail the back wall (fibreboard) and screw the legs (supports).

Usually, in order to save money, furniture walls are equipped with two types of legs: cheap plastic and beautiful metal (it’s good if both are adjustable in height).

Screw the metal legs in front, and the plastic ones in the back of the cabinet.

7

Once you have assembled the dimensional modules, you can begin attaching the facades.

8 Installation of glass doors

Again, it's best to start with large cabinets. Be especially careful when hanging glass doors.

Use special bushings for furniture handles and the necessary plugs for hinges.

Step-by-step instruction:

  • put a loop on the glass facade;

  • screw the hinge to the side of the cabinet;

  • put the plug on the loop;

  • install furniture handles;

  • screw the shock absorbers to smoothly close the hinged glass doors;

  • Check the operation of the shock absorbers by pressing them.

Other swing facades are installed in the same sequence.

9 Assembling drawers and installing them

Gathering drawers strictly according to the scheme. Some of the guides are attached to the sides of the opening where the boxes will presumably go, and some are attached to the sides of the rack itself.

10

Adjust the legs of all wall elements to the level.

11 Installation of removable shelves

Now is the time to install removable shelves inside cabinets and hang oversized items.

If the wall needs to have a hanging shelf between the pencil case and the cabinet, first measure the actual distance between them and check with the parts you have left in stock.

If the sizes match, you can start drilling the wall.

Assemble the shelf itself, if it consists of several parts, and attach the eyes to it.

Place the shelf in the designated space. If necessary, additionally attach to the sides of adjacent cabinets.

12

The only thing left to do is adjust all the facades. It is better to start adjusting with hinged ones, gradually moving to retractable ones.

Congratulations, you were able to assemble the wall yourself!

Now your home has another functional storage for things, bed linen, dishes and books, and the living room has become much more comfortable.

Enjoy comfort and start saving for new furniture, and we will tell you how to assemble it.
