To work we need:
small denomination coins (kopecks, five kopecks); a spoon, fork or other vertical device that acts as a structure holder; cup; saucer; electrical tape or tape (you can use a heat gun for fixation); glue; tools.

First, bend a spoon or fork with pliers (in this case I used a mini ladle, but not everyone has one) so that one part cutlery was bent in one direction, the other, respectively, in the opposite direction.

It is important that the parts are tightly attached - the structure must be stable.

Then also glue coins along the trunk of the cutlery so that it looks like a flowing stream of money.

Since I work as a teacher at school and also lead a “Handicraft” club, I often work with children with plastic bottles: we make flowers, leaves, trees, and we made “rock” waterfalls from stones. And then I wanted something unusual and airy, and through trial and error I came up with this result: final result I really liked it. How to make a floating cup

For this master class, as for many others, first of all you will need a cup or mug with a plate. I don’t recommend taking a large plate; a regular saucer will do just fine. Although if you are making a composition with a waterfall, then you will need a slightly larger plate for a beautiful design.

This work cannot be done without glue, scissors, wire and a base component. I don’t call the cup the basis, but what you use to make it with, flowers or coffee, for example.

The principle of a master class is the same everywhere, they differ only in some subtleties and sizes. You can see all this in the photo under each detailed description.

It seems like just recently I was showing off my floating mug on my website, talking about how to make it beautifully with my own hands, describing each step step by step and showing photos.

Today I will again touch on this topic and a cup with flowers, and if you want to read the master class in more detail, I recommend clicking right here.

To create a cup with flowers you will need

Saucer
Mug
A piece of cable
Artificial flowers
Scissors

In fact, plaster can be replaced with hot glue, but it does not hold very tightly and you need a lot of it. This is up to your discretion, I’ll just share the photo and you can clearly see how the mug and saucer are held together.

So far there are no flowers, no kanzashi, no coffee with coins, just a skeleton. Please note that I connected two objects together with an electrical cable; many people use a regular kitchen fork, but I didn’t have an extra fork at home for creativity.

The next thing you need to do is divide the artificial flowers into separate buds or inflorescences and glue them one by one onto the cable. Here I recommend using a glue gun.

The order of gluing the flowers should be from top to bottom, this will make it easier for you to shape the cup with flowers. I added a few lemons to the flowers, and in the end I got this floating cup with flowers and two fruits.

The photo shows that the cup is very high, but they can be made much lower. For example, a cup of coffee is almost half the height.

Floating cup of coffee

A floating coffee mug also consists of a cup, saucer, glue, and naturally aromatic coffee beans.

The basic principle is the same. Only here we can glue our twig from the cup to the plate using hot glue, because the base of the dishes is not smooth. You can buy such a set of dishes at a decor store or make it yourself, although ordinary ceramic utensils are also suitable for a cup of coffee.

I strongly recommend that you do not wash coffee beans before work, as many do, in order to wash away supposed dust. This is neither true nor correct; there is no need to wash coffee. You can choose any variety; the cheaper, the better for your budget.

To save coffee, I advise you to wrap a rod or fork on which your beans will be attached with paper and then with tape, giving it a trapezoid or flared shape. But after that you can get on with your main work.

Take coffee beans and glue them onto the surface with the wide part to the tape, when you have covered the entire surface, then attach the second layer of coffee in a chaotic manner.

As a result, you should end up with a floating cup of coffee like the one in the photo, or something like this.

Floating cup of kanzashi

Kanzashi, this fabulous word carries brightness and festive mood. In fact, this technique came to us from Japan, it was invented by artisans. They turned pieces of silk fabric and ribbon into flowers using tongs and rice glue. Later, we adopted their skills, made changes and began creating jewelry, hairpins and other compositions.

The floating kanzashi cup is no exception, just look at this photo, all the work was done by hand, this is a master class.

The work is done exactly the same as an ordinary floating mug with flowers, which I wrote about at the very beginning, only here the flowers in this case are made by hand.

In this lesson we will learn how to make a topiary with a flying cup with our own hands. We will need the following materials and tools:

cup and saucer;
wire;
hot glue;
small artificial flowers;
masking tape;
pliers;
scissors.

1. Prepare the cup and saucer: degrease them and wipe them dry.

2. Bend the thick wire with pliers, creating a Z-shape.

3. Align the bottom and top of the wire so that it fits snugly against the saucer and the wall of the cup.

4. Using a glue gun, first glue the wire to the saucer. We don’t skimp on consumables: the glue must completely cover the wire. Hold the wire in the desired position until the glue hardens.

5. Glue the wire to the walls of the cup in the same way. Be sure to wait until the glue has completely hardened: the wire should not lag behind the walls.

6. Cover the wire with masking tape. We did not do this right away, but only after we were sure that the flowers did not stick to the wire.

7. Glue artificial leaves to the bottom in random order.

8. Glue the largest flowers to the bottom of the cup and to the saucer.

9. From more small flowers and leaves we create a “flow” by gluing both in random order.

It turns out this decorative cup with flowers.

We use kanzashi

To decorate a floating cup, you can also use flowers made using the kanzashi technique. It turns out very original.

thin floral felt;
sponge;
aluminum fork;
coffee or tea pair;
lighter or soldering iron;
tweezers for kanzashi;
stamens and small beads;
beads, decorative butterfly;
multi-colored ribbons 5 cm wide;
glue gun

1. From thin felt or, if there is none, then from ribbon, cut out leaves.

2. Cut the ribbon for the flower. One will need 5 pieces. We collect the sharp petal, but do not rush to solder it. We draw along the line with a soldering iron or lighter.

3. The result is a petal like this. Let's do required amount from multi-colored ribbons.

4. We collect the centers of flowers from beads with stamens.

5. Glue the fork with hot glue, connecting it coffee cup and a saucer.

6. After 10 minutes, apply glue again.

7. We use any heavy object as a load. We knitted old door hinges.

9. We collect flowers by gluing petal by petal to the stamen.

10. Decorate the cup. To begin with, we cover the cup and saucer with leaves, and then gradually cover the entire surface of the saucer, cup and fork with fabric flowers.

Money cup in feng shui style
