Working check RPE is carried out:

  • Before using RPE in an unsuitable for breathing environment, an operational check is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the RPE manufacturer's operating manual.
  • When replacing a RPE cylinder at the site of fire extinguishing in an environment unsuitable for breathing (classes, training), a working check of the RPE is carried out.
  • A working check of the RPE is carried out by a gas and smoke protection specialist at the command of the GDZS flight commander (training leader): “Link, check your breathing apparatus”. The operating test time should not exceed 1 minute.

At the end of the working check, the gas and smoke protector reports to the GDZS flight commander (leader of the lesson) about readiness for switching on and the value of the working pressure in the cylinder (cylinders): “Gas and smoke protector Petrov is ready to turn on, pressure is 280 atmospheres”.

Permission to include a gas and smoke protection device in the RPE is given by the GDZS flight commander (training leader) after reporting to him about positive results operational check, serviceability and completeness: “Link, put on the breathing apparatus”.

Inclusion in RPE is carried out directly at the entrance to an environment unsuitable for breathing. The GDZS unit returns from an unsuitable for breathing environment only in full force. Switching off from RPE is carried out at fresh air at the command of the flight commander: "Link, from breathing apparatus turn off".

Procedure for carrying out a working inspection

Need to check:

  1. The serviceability of the mask and the correct connection of the lung demand valve to it.
  2. Vacuum tightness of the apparatus.
  3. Operation of the lung demand valve and mask exhalation valve.
  4. Triggering of the alarm device.
  5. Air pressure in the cylinder(s).

The serviceability of the mask and the correct connection of the lung demand valve to it are checked visually. Check the absence of damage to the mask elements and the reliability of the connection between the lung demand valve and the mask, and for type 2 additionally:

  • by rotating the lung demand valve 2 (Figures 6 and 7), make sure that the latch 2.1 is closed;
  • make sure that the bypass handwheel 2.4 is in the off position or turn it off by turning it 90° clockwise.

Checking the tightness of the apparatus for vacuum is carried out with the cylinder valve(s) closed. To check, you need to press the mask tightly to your face and try to take a shallow breath.

ATTENTION!!! ATTEMPTING TO TAKE A SHARP DEEP BREATH CAN LEAD TO LUNG BAROTRAUMA!

If, when inhaling, a large resistance is created that does not allow further inhalation and does not decrease within 2-3 s, the device is considered sealed.

For this:

  • turn off the lung demand valve mechanism, for which press button 2.2 all the way (Figures 5, 6 and 7), fix it for 1 - 2 s, then smoothly release it;
  • open the valve of the cylinder (one of the cylinders);
  • put on a mask and make adjustments;
  • after the first deep breath, make sure that the lung demand valve has turned on and excess pressure has arisen in the cavity of the mask, for which they take several breaths and exhalations;
  • then, holding their breath, they put their finger under the seal of the mask and make sure that there is a constant flow of air from under the mask;
  • remove your finger from under the seal and, holding your breath for about 5-10 seconds, listen to make sure there is no air leakage.

If a leak is detected, adjust the position of the mask by tightening the straps, avoiding overtightening, and recheck the absence of leaks. After this, close the valve, turn off the lung demand valve and remove the mask.

Checking the operation of the alarm device is carried out in the following sequence:

  • open and close the valve of the cylinder (one of the cylinders);
  • by carefully pressing the bypass button and holding it in this position (type 1) or smoothly turning the bypass handwheel (type 2), bleed air from the internal cavities of the device, while simultaneously observing the readings of the device’s pressure gauge;
  • at the moment the sound signal occurs, note the pressure gauge reading and make sure that it meets the requirements of the operating manual for the breathing apparatus.

The air pressure in the cylinder(s) is checked with the valve(s) open using a pressure gauge. When checking, record the pressure gauge reading, which must be at least 25.3 MPa (260 kgf/cm2).

In order for work in RPE to be safe and the combat mission to be successfully completed, each member of the unit must know and comply with certain safety requirements when operating, checking and connecting systems.

Maintenance and inspection procedures for RPE 1 and 2, as well as other work, are carried out in accordance with standards and deadlines, as well as special documentation.

Basic concepts about the use of RPE

RPE is a device that is designed to protect the senses (breathing and vision) of a person in special conditions.

Insulating protective equipment not only protects the respiratory system from exposure to harmful substances, but also supply the defender with air suitable for breathing (for example, a device with compressed air, oxygen insulating gas mask, etc.).

Each product has individual time protective action.

Basic requirements for firefighters PPE

  • Long duration of protection (at least 60 minutes).
  • Wide range of operating temperatures (from -40 to 60 °C), and for northern regions from -50 to 60 °C.
  • An oxygen insulating gas mask must protect human organs for at least 6 hours.
  • The given gas mask must operate in the temperature range from -40 to 60 °C.

Breathing apparatuses are divided depending on the devices of general and special purpose. The procedure for checking 1 RPE is individual for each type protective agent.

Putting on, taking off and storing RPE

Putting on and taking off protective equipment is carried out only after a command is given by a senior member of the squad. When working with a gas mask you need:

  1. Remove the helmet and hold it in a comfortable position.
  2. Start the lung demand valve (to do this, take a few breaths from the protective equipment system).
  3. Release the air from under the mask.
  4. Put on

When working with breathing apparatus you should:

  1. Remove the helmet and place it between your knees.
  2. Put on protective mask.
  3. Put on a bag with a rescue device.
  4. Put on your helmet.

Important! It is prohibited to turn on the devices without following the procedure for checking 1 RPE. The preparatory and executive commands of the senior officer are: “GZDS link, gas masks (devices) TURN ON.”

Types and purpose of checks

The main checks of protective equipment include:

1. Working. This type maintenance is carried out to check the serviceability individual parts the device and its correct functioning. It is carried out directly by the owner of the PPE under the guidance of a senior officer. The check is carried out before each inclusion in the RPE. When carrying out such a check it is necessary:

  • conduct a visual inspection of the front part to ensure there is no damage to the elements;
  • test the air duct system for tightness, serviceability of the pulmonary apparatus and the pressure value at which the alarm device is triggered;
  • Lastly, the air pressure in the cylinder is checked using measuring instruments.

2. The procedure for checking 1 RPE includes:

  • testing the serviceability of the front part;
  • inspect the device for any malfunctions;
  • pressure measurement in the under-mask space;
  • checking the tightness of pressure lines and air duct systems;
  • gearbox inspection.

3. Check No. 2 - view Maintenance which is carried out during the operation of RPE, and also at least once a month if RPE was not used during this time.

4. Check No. 3 - a type of maintenance carried out on time, in full and at a given frequency, but at least once a year. All RPE in operation and in reserve, as well as those requiring complete disinfection of all components and parts, are subject to inspection.

The tightness of the pressure lines is examined in accordance with the test procedure 1 RPE SCAD.

Check No. 2 is carried out after checking No. 3, disinfection, replacement of cylinders, and securing the product to the gas and smoke protector. This check should be carried out at least once a month and after each use.

The tightness of the air duct system is checked in stages:

  • first, the fitting of the rescue device is connected to the adapter;
  • then the main breathing machine is turned off;
  • then the valve of the cylinder is opened and the air duct system of the device is filled;
  • after closing the valve, the system is kept for another 1 minute;
  • if the pressure does not exceed 1 MPa, the system is operational.

Important! If malfunctions are detected, any protective equipment is removed from and sent to the GZDS base for repair. A replacement device is provided as a replacement.

Rules for storing RPE at posts and vehicles

After checking 1 RPE, the procedure for which is established by law, the protective equipment is placed in special storage areas. Serviceable and faulty devices must be stored in special cabinets or cells in correct position. Each place is equipped with a sign indicating the inventory number and information about the owner.

Each device that is stored at the GDZS post must be clean and suitable for use.

When checking, you should pay attention to the expiration dates of individual parts of the device (for example, regenerative cartridges, oxygen cylinders).

When transporting RPE to a check or repair point, special boxes with cells are used.

Working check of DASV

Immediately before each inclusion in the breathing apparatus, the gas and smoke protector checks 1 RPE.

Order conducting DASV consists of going through the following stages:

  1. Carrying out an external inspection of the mask, reliability of the connection of the lung demand valve.
  2. Next, the air tightness of the air duct system is tested. At the same time, apply the mask tightly to the face and take a small breath. The system is considered to be working if there is a lot of resistance when inhaling.
  3. After the above operations, the serviceability of the lung demand valve, outlet valve, and pressure values ​​is checked.
  4. The final stage is the report to the flight commander.

Checking security using settings

Using installations, for example KU 9V, you can check 1 RPE AP "Omega". The procedure is divided into several points:

  1. Checking the serviceability of the mask and devices by inspection.
  2. Testing the operation of the lung demand valve, the magnitude of the exhalation valve response, and the excess pressure in the space under the mask. To do this, turn off the machine, open the valve, and lightly move the lever to the off position. working position. Then operate the pump smoothly until the pressure increases. After this, move the lever to the working position and observe the readings of the pressure and vacuum gauge. When the pressure stops increasing, the exhalation valve will open. Normal indicators are: excess pressure in the space under the mask from 200 to 400 Pa, valve response value 600 Pa.
  3. At the end of testing, pressure readings are recorded and the tightness of the device systems is checked. To do this, connect the installation hose and open the cylinder valve. Next, you should take readings from the high pressure gauge in the cylinder (the norm is 0.45-0.9 MPa).
  4. To test the additional air supply device and the moment of operation of the alarm device, the additional supply is turned on. It is considered serviceable if there is a characteristic sound of air bleeding and a special sound signal.
  5. To check the air pressure, open the cylinder valve and record the pressure gauge readings. The normal operating pressure is considered to be 25.3 MPa (for DASV - 260 kgf/cm 2).

Operating parameters of RPE "Profi"

This breathing apparatus has the following performance characteristics:

  • the protective action time under normal conditions is 60 minutes, in emergency conditions - up to 40 minutes;
  • weight of the equipped apparatus - 16 kg, with a rescue device - 17 kg;
  • operating pressure in a cylinder - 10 atm;
  • breathing resistance at the outlet - 350 MPa;
  • operating time when the alarm device is activated is at least 10 minutes;
  • average service life is 10 years.

The procedure for checking 1 RPE "Profi-M" is similar to the above.

Regulatory documentation for testing RPE

Each department of the State Health and Safety Inspectorate is required to inspect 1 RPE. The procedure, Order No. 3 of January 9, 2013, which was developed and signed by the Ministry of Civil Defense, is carried out by all services in the country.

Service personnel are obliged to know and follow these rules and orders, carefully monitor the condition of funds personal protection.

The provisions of the orders apply to the personnel of the centers for civil defense, emergency situations and disaster relief, specially authorized bodies (Ministry of Emergency Situations and their units).

Responsibility for the condition of instruments, apparatus and training of personnel lies with the senior rank in the unit.

DEVICE AND OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM

  • Purpose of the system.

The monitoring system for breathing apparatus SKAD-1 (hereinafter referred to as the system) is designed to check the performance of breathing apparatus with compressed air type AIR-98MI, ​​PTS "Farvater", PTS "Spasatel", PTS

PSS 7000, Drager Man PSS 90, BD 96, BD Compact, Air MAXX, Air GO and front parts of PTS “Obzor”, PTS “Obzor”-S, PM-2000, MP-01, Panorama Nova Standard, f2, Pana Sil , 3S-PF, Ultra Elite-PF for compliance with the requirements set out in the operating manuals for breathing apparatus, “Manual on the gas and smoke protection service of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia” and NPB 309-2002.

The system is intended for operation in stationary conditions at control posts and GDZS bases, as well as as part of the equipment of GDZS vehicles.

The system allows you to carry out the following types checks:

  • the value of vacuum air pressure at which the lung demand valve is turned on;
  • the amount of excess air pressure created by the lung demand valve;
  • the magnitude of excess pressure in the under-mask space of the front part at zero air flow;
  • the amount of air pressure at which the exhalation valve of the front part opens;
  • quantities reduced pressure, opening pressure of the safety valve and tightness of the gearbox valve;
  • tightness of the air duct system of the breathing apparatus;
  • tightness of the front part under vacuum pressure;
  • tightness of the rescue device at vacuum pressure;
  • the value of the vacuum air pressure at which the valve of the lung demand valve of the rescue device opens without excess pressure under the front part.

The system is made in climatic version Category 4 according to GOST 15150, but for operation at ambient temperatures from 5 to 50C and relative humidity up to 80%.

The system is available in two versions:

  • control and measuring unit with a head dummy;
  • control and measuring unit with test disc.

The head dummy is made in 2 versions: with a plastic fofan (MG version) and with a rubber compound fofan with a pressurization system (MGn version).

Design and principle of operation of the system

  • System design.

The system (Fig. 1) consists of a portable plastic shockproof case 1 with a lid 2, a carrying handle 3, a lid lock 4, an eyelet for a transport seal 5, a compartment for adapters 6 and a button - lock 7.

The headform (or test disk) is designed to mount the facepiece when performing breathing apparatus tests.

The MG head dummy consists of a body 8 with a fitting 9 and a tube 10, through which the under-mask space is connected to the system.

The check disk consists of a housing 11 mounted on a bracket 12. A front disk 14 and a connecting nipple 15 with a tube 16 are secured to the housing with a nut 13. The flywheel 17 and the pressure disk 18 mounted on it are moved along the threaded part of the housing using a handle 19.

The design and principle of operation of the MGn head dummy are given in the operating instructions for the dummy.

The control and measuring unit is located in the system housing. The unit controls, instrumentation and connection devices to the unit (coupling coupling and quick-release coupling) are located on the control panel.

On the control panel (Fig. 2) there is a connecting coupling 1 with a sealing gasket 2 and a plug 3, a button for releasing excess (or vacuum) pressure 4, an “excess-vacuum” switch lever 5, a pressure-vacuum gauge 6, a pump handle 7 with a lock 8, a button reduced pressure release 9, quick-release coupling (QCU) 10, reduced-pressure pressure gauge 11, stopwatch 12. A protective cap is put on the quick-release coupling.

  • Operating principle of the system.

The control and measuring unit of the system consists of two autonomous units (Fig. 3):

  • low pressure block;
  • reduced pressure block.

Low pressure block.

The source of pressure in the block is a manual piston pump 1 with a spring for returning the pump rod to the working (uppermost) position.

When you press the pump handle, air under pressure is supplied to pneumatic distributor 2, switching which to one of its positions determines the creation of excess or vacuum pressure in the block. From the pneumatic distributor, excess (vacuum) pressure flows to coupling 3, to which the unit being tested is connected directly or through an adapter, then to pressure-vacuum gauge 4, designed to control the pressure in the block, and pneumatic distributor 5, designed to relieve pressure in the block.

Reduced pressure block.

The reduced pressure from the air duct system of the breathing apparatus enters the unit through quick-release connection 6. The amount of reduced pressure is controlled by pressure gauge 7.

The pressure in the block is relieved by pneumatic distributor 8.

  • Marking.
  • The marking is on a plate attached to back wall housings.

The label states:

  • product code;
  • technical specifications number;
  • serial number of the product;
  • date of manufacture (month and year).

The headform is marked on a plate attached to the body of the headform.

The test disc is marked on a plate attached to the bracket.

The markings on the headform (or test disk) contain:

  • manufacturer's trademark;
  • name or code of the product;
  • product serial number;
  • date of manufacture (month and year).

USING THE SYSTEM AS INTENDED

Before using the system for its intended purpose, you must:

  • prepare the system for operation;
  • Check the tightness of the system with the headform (or test disk) connected.

Preparing the system for operation.

  • Install the system and head dummy (or test disk) at the workplace, open the housing cover.

The initial position of the arrow of pressure and vacuum gauge 6 (Fig. 2) should correspond to position “0”. If necessary, adjust the initial position of the arrow using the adjusting screw; to do this, remove the plug from the pressure-vacuum gauge glass and set the arrow position (“set to zero”) through the hole in the glass.

Start stopwatch 12 and check its functionality with a test run.

Move pump handle 7 to the operating position by turning lock 8 in the direction of the arrow indicated on the panel.

Prepare the MGn head dummy for connection to the system according to the method outlined in the operating manual for the dummy.

  • Checking the tightness of the system with a connected head dummy (or test disk) is carried out sequentially with excess and vacuum pressure.

Install adapter No. 4 into coupling 1 (Fig. 2) and connect the head dummy (or test disk) to it. Install plug No. 6 on the headform (or plug the hole in the body of the test disk).

Move shift lever 5 to the “excess” (“vacuum”) position.

Using the pump handle 7, smoothly create excess (vacuum) pressure in the system

By pressing reset button 4, reduce the pressure in the system to 950 ± 50 Pa.

Turn on stopwatch 12. Maintain the system for 1 minute, observing the readings of the pressure and vacuum gauge.

A system with a headform (or test disk) connected is considered sealed if no change in pressure is observed.

Attention! To avoid freezing of the gauge needle, it is not recommended to create an excess pressure of more than 1250 Pa (vacuum pressure - less than minus 1250 Pa); to eliminate the freezing of the pointer, press and hold the reset button 4 until the pointer begins to move.

  • Working with the system.
  • When connecting to the breathing apparatus system, apply CIATIM-221 lubricant to the O-rings.
  • When installing the front part on the head dummy, wipe the seal of the front part and the dummy in the place where the seal fits with a swab, generously soaked in tap water, to remove abrasive materials and other foreign particles.

Checks should be carried out on the undried front part and the dummy or by applying a soap solution to them to increase the tightness of the obturation site.

  • Before installing the front part on the MGn head dummy, release the pressure in the dummy to marks 1…2 on the indicator scale by moving and holding the switch lever in position

"reset". Put on front part to a dummy. Raise the pressure in the dummy to the upper line of the green sector of the indicator scale, and after holding for 1.5 ± 0.5 minutes, release the pressure until the indicator needle reaches the middle of the green sector. This value pressure in the dummy is optimal for testing all types of facial parts.

  • To install the front part on the test disk, it is necessary to rotate the flywheel 17 (left-hand thread) (Fig. 1) to remove the pressure disk 18 from the front disk. Put the front part on disk 14, having first thrown the headband onto the front side. By rotating the flywheel, press the pressure disk against the front part, holding the front part belts.
  • Checking breathing apparatus.
  • Checking the vacuum air pressure at which the lung demand valve turns on.

Install directly or via adapter (No. 5 or No. 10) turned off lung demand valve into coupling 1 (Fig. 2) of the system.

Open the cylinder valve.

Pump handle 7 slowly create a vacuum pressure in the system and observe the readings of the pressure and vacuum gauge 6.

The moment when the pressure begins to increase is considered the moment the lung demand valve is turned on.

Close the cylinder valve.

Relieve the pressure in the system by pressing the reset button 4.

  • Checking the amount of excess air pressure created by the lung demand valve.

Install directly or through an adapter (No. 5 or No. 10) the lung demand valve into coupling 1 (Fig. 2) of the system.

Turn on the lung demand valve (how to turn on the lung demand valve - see the operating instructions for the breathing apparatus).

Open the cylinder valve.

Monitor the amount of excess pressure using a pressure and vacuum gauge 6.

Close the cylinder valve.

Relieve the pressure in the system by pressing the reset button 4.

Disconnect the lung demand valve from the system.

Attention! When checking the lung demand valve of the AP-98-7K device, before installing it on the system, it is necessary to open the cylinder valve, let the lung demand valve close (closing is characterized by a strong hiss of air for several seconds), close the cylinder valve and then install the lung demand valve on the system.

  • Checking the amount of excess pressure in the under-mask space of the front part at zero air flow and the tightness of the air duct system of the breathing apparatus.

Install the lung demand valve into the valve box socket of the front part. Turn on the lung demand valve.

Open the cylinder valve. Record the readings of the pressure and vacuum gauge 6.

Close the cylinder valve.

Turn on the stopwatch and observe the readings of the device’s pressure gauge for 1 minute.

Relieve the pressure in the system by pressing the reset button 4.

The air duct system of the device is considered sealed if within 1 minute the pressure drop does not exceed 2.0 MPa.

  • Checking the air pressure at which the exhalation valve of the front part opens.

Install adapter No. 4 into coupling 1 of the system and connect the head dummy (or test disk) to it. Check the system’s own tightness according to clause 2.1.2 of this manual.

Place the front part on the headform (or test disk).

Install turned off lung demand valve into the valve box socket of the front part. Move shift lever 5 to the “excess” position.

Pump handle 7 slowly create excess pressure in the system and observe the readings of the pressure and vacuum gauge 6.

The moment when the pressure in the system stops increasing is considered the moment the exhalation valve of the front part opens.

  • Checking the value of the reduced pressure, the opening pressure of the safety valve and the tightness of the reducer valve.

Connect the reduced pressure line of the device directly or through an adapter (No. 1, No. 2, No. 20, No. 30 or No. 40) to the quick-release coupling (QC) of the system.

Open the cylinder valve.

Start the stopwatch. Monitor the reduced pressure value using the system pressure gauge for 1 minute.

Check the opening pressure of the pressure reducer safety valve according to the procedure outlined in the operating manual for the breathing apparatus. Record the opening pressure of the safety valve using the system pressure gauge.

Close the cylinder valve.

Relieve the pressure in the system by pressing the reset button 9.

The reducer valve is considered sealed if the value of the reduced pressure does not change.

  • Checking the tightness of the front part under vacuum pressure.

Install adapter No. 4 into coupling 1 of the system and connect the head dummy (or test disk) to it. Check the system’s own tightness according to clause 2.1.2 of this manual.

Place the front part on the headform (or test disc). Install the plug

(pulmonary demand valve with a plugged hose) into the inhalation line of the front part.

Move shift lever 5 to the “vacuum” position.

Use pump handle 7 to create a vacuum pressure of 1100 ± 100 Pa in the system. Pressure control using pressure and vacuum gauge 6.

By pressing reset button 4, reduce the pressure in the system to 980 ± 20 Pa. Maintain the system for 1 minute, observing the pressure-vacuum gauge readings.

Relieve the pressure in the system by pressing the reset button 4.

Remove the plug from the inhalation line.

The front part is considered sealed if the pressure drop in it does not exceed 50 Pa per minute.

  • Checking the tightness of the rescue device under vacuum pressure.

Install adapter No. 4 into coupling 1 of the system and connect the head dummy (or test disk) to it. Check the system’s own tightness according to clause 2.1.2 of this manual.

Place the face of the rescue device onto the headform (or test disk). Attach the lung demand valve of the rescue device with the plugged hose to the front part.

Move shift lever 5 to the “vacuum” position.

Use pump handle 7 to create a vacuum pressure of 900 ± 20 Pa in the system. Pressure control using pressure and vacuum gauge 6.

Turn on stopwatch 12. Maintain the system for 2.5 ± 0.5 minutes.

By pressing reset button 4, reduce the pressure in the system to 800 ± 20 Pa. Maintain the system for 1 minute, observing the pressure-vacuum gauge readings.

Relieve the pressure in the system by pressing the reset button 4.

Remove the plug from the lung demand valve.

The rescue device is considered sealed if the pressure drop in 1 minute does not exceed 100 Pa.

When used in the ShMP-1 rescue device, a pressure drop of 353 Pa is allowed when creating a vacuum pressure of 1177 Pa. When checking, install plug No. 8 in the exhalation valve.

  • Checking the vacuum air pressure at which the lung demand valve of the rescue device opens without excess pressure under the front part.

The check is carried out according to the methodology outlined in paragraph 2.2.5.1 of this manual.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  • The system can be operated in stationary conditions at ambient temperatures from 5 to 50C and relative humidity from 30 to 80%.
  • Before commissioning, it is necessary to remove the transport seal, check by external inspection the condition of the system and compliance of the completeness with the list specified in the system passport.
  • After storing or transporting the system without packaging at a temperature below 0C, keep the system for 2 hours at a temperature from 5 to 50C.
  • Before each use of the system, it is necessary to check the tightness of the system with a connected headform (or test disk) in accordance with this manual.
  • To more quickly relieve pressure in the low-pressure unit, instead of reset button 4 (Fig. 2), you can use switch lever 5, moving it to any of the positions (“excess” or “vacuum”).

It is prohibited to create a pressure of more than 61250 Pa with the pump, or to connect a pressure source of more than 2.0 MPa to the quick-release connection.

  • Test the breathing apparatus at a constant ambient temperature. The permissible rate of temperature change is 61C per hour.
  • Protect the system from falls and impacts.

After completing work with the system, you must:

  • set the pump handle 7 to the transport position;
  • install plug 3 on coupling 1;
  • install the cap on the quick connector

The pressure-vacuum gauge and pressure gauge used in the system must be checked at least once a year in accordance with the established procedure.

The frequency of subsequent re-examination of devices is established by the consumer in agreement with the territorial body of the State Metrological Service.

MAINTENANCE

  • For questions regarding operation, maintenance, purchase of spare parts and repair of the system, please contact the manufacturer or its service centers.
  • Protect the system, especially the glass of the pressure gauge, pressure-vacuum gauge and stopwatch from damage.
  • Monitor the condition of the sealing elements included in the system and the adapter kit.
  • Conduct an external inspection of the system to detect damage. Clean the housing and panel from dust and dirt.

SECURITY MEASURES

Safety during operation of the system is ensured by compliance with the requirements.

“Manuals on the gas and smoke protection service of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia” and “Rules for the design and safe operation vessels operating under pressure" (PB 03-576-03).

TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

  • The system can be transported by all types of transport in closed and dry vehicles at temperatures from minus 60 to 50C and relative humidity up to 100%.
  • If transportation is carried out in open vehicles, then the container with the systems must be protected from exposure to precipitation, and when transported by sea, be in the hold of the ship.

Transportation and storage together with gasoline, kerosene, oils, alkalis and other substances that are harmful to metal, rubber and plastic are not allowed.

  • During transportation, as well as during unloading or loading, all precautions must be taken in accordance with the markings on the packaging container.
  • During storage, the system must be protected from direct contact sun rays and be at a distance of at least 1 m from heating devices. Relative humidity should not exceed 80% at a temperature of 25C, air temperature should be in the range from 5 to 40C.

POSSIBLE MALFUNCTIONS AND METHODS OF THEIR ELIMINATION

Control unit KU-9V

Control installation KU-9V is designed to control the main operational parameters breathing apparatus with compressed air for compliance with the requirements set out in the operating manuals for breathing apparatus and the Order of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia dated 01/09/2013 No. 3 “On approval of the Rules for carrying out emergency rescue operations by personnel of the Federal Fire Service of the State Fire Service when extinguishing fires using means personal respiratory and vision protection in an unsuitable for breathing environment", such as: AP-98-7K, AP-2000, AP "Sever", AP "Omega", AIR-98MI, ​​AIR-300SV, PTS+90D "BASIS", RA-90 Plus, Spiromatic QS, AIR-PAK 4.5 Fifty.

The main purpose of the KU-9V device is RPE check, namely breathing apparatus used in emergency situations (in particular in case of fire).

Using the installation, it is possible to create and measure excess and vacuum pressure (0-1000 Pa), as well as reduced pressure in the range from 0 to 1.5 MPa. KU-9V allows testing of various breathing devices certified in the territory Russian Federation(for example, AP Omega, AP 2000, etc.).

Checking 1 breathing apparatus

Check 1 breathing apparatus is done as follows:

1. The device is inspected for compliance with the configuration and the absence of visible defects. For this purpose, a number of operations are performed:

  • Disconnect the mask from the automatic breathing system.
  • Carefully inspect with inside chin cup.
  • Check the glass and body of the mask, and other elements of the mask (mask liner, breathing valves, intercom) for possible cracks and breaks.

After this, a general inspection of the product is carried out (reliability of fastening of the hanging device, oxygen cylinders, performance of the pressure gauge). At the same time, pay close attention to the presence mechanical damage elements of the device.

2. At the next stage, the respiratory function is checked automatic installation, the moment the exhalation valve is turned on and the excess pressure inside the mask. For this purpose, the following actions are performed:

  • Turn off the lung demand valve.
  • Set the oxygen tank valve to the “open” position.
  • Switch the lever (4) to “–” and smoothly operate the pump, while the moment the pulmonary apparatus begins to operate is the moment when the pressure begins to increase.
  • Switch lever (4) to “+”. At the same time, gradually increase the excess pressure, checking it with the device (9). The period when the pressure stops increasing is the moment the exhalation valve (10) is activated.

For a working device, the excess pressure should vary from 200 to 400 Pa, while the exhalation valve activation indicator should be slightly higher, but not more than 600 Pa.

3. At the third stage, data from high and reduced pressures is taken and the tightness of the device is checked:

  • The hose of the KU-9V device is connected to the device being tested.
  • The cylinder valve is set to the “open” position. In this case, the cylinder must be filled to operating pressure.
  • Data about high blood pressure(external pressure gauge of the breathing device) and reduced pressure readings (pressure gauge on KU-9V). The values ​​should be between 0.45 and 0.9 MPa.
  • The cylinder valve is turned to the “closed” position and the time of decrease in high and reduced pressure is measured with a stopwatch. In one minute, the pressure should not drop by more than 2 MPa (the device is sealed).

4. The functionality of the additional oxygen supply device and the pressure indicator at which the alarm is activated are checked:

The additional oxygen supply device is turned on by pressing the corresponding button. If you hear a characteristic sound produced by a stream of air before the signal turns on. The alarm system is considered operational if it is activated when the pressure decreases to 5.5 MPa.

5. On final stage The pressure in the cylinder is checked. When opening the tap, the pressure gauge should show a minimum of 24.5 MPa.

All readings received are recorded in a log book. RPE checks No1.
