And its plasticity and attractiveness make it possible to implement the most complex design ideas.

Who produces?

Granite metal tiles, produced in Finland, are popular in Russia, as they retain all their properties in the harsh conditions of the Russian winter. It is suitable for use in the widest possible temperature range: from -60°C to +1200°C. Note that this material has virtually no disadvantages, due to the fact that all previously accumulated experience was used in its creation.

Today on construction market There is also an analogue of Granite metal tiles offered by Chinese manufacturers, which is very high quality material, however, production priority still belongs to the Finnish company. For Granite coating, an analogue is produced at the English company Corus.

As a result of joint developments of the company Grand Line(Russia) and the Arcelor Mittal concern (Belgium) created a new polyurethane-based coating - Granite HDX. It has a combined structure, which consists of 2 main layers: primer (25 microns) and modified polymer (30 microns).

Granite HDX metal tiles are:

  • production from high-quality steel (metal thickness 0.5 mm);
  • excellent mechanical strength;
  • high resistance of the coating to any negative influences;
  • aesthetic, close to the classic profile;
  • silky, matte surface.

The use of the new Granite HDX coating provides excellent properties. It is resistant to mechanical defects, aggressive chemical compounds, sun rays and corrosion. Roofing material is resistant to temperature changes.

The characteristics of Granite HDX metal tiles allow you to protect your roof in any conditions:

  • V southern regions with increased solar activity;
  • in the central part of the country, where summer and winter temperature regime are very different from each other;
  • in coastal areas with high content salts and moisture in the air.

For the new metal tiles, a number of tests were carried out in the laboratories of the Grand Line company. Their results showed that Granite HDX is a coating that is very durable. In terms of performance properties and its chemical composition it is similar to the best polymer coatings (Pural, Colorcoast Prisma, Prelaq Nova). At the same time, the new product from Grand Line is much more affordable.

New roofing material from Grand Line comes with a 15-year quality guarantee.

Processing of metal tiles during cutting and installation of roofing

Granite HDX coating will not be damaged even by cold stamping or deep drawing of the metal it is applied to. This makes cutting and installation work, and also guarantees the safety of all properties after additional processing.

Metal tile CLOUDY Granit– the only metal roofing material today that absolutely accurately copies appearance ceramic tiles– both profile shape and color. CLOUDY Granit has a smooth matte surface and a ceramic firing pattern. Any other - Russian, Swedish or Finnish metal tiles– only the profile shape resembles ceramic tiles - color in ordinary metal tiles, polyester, pural, plastisol, etc. are always homogeneous .

Metal tiles CLOUDY Granit (Claudy Granite) - a combination of the beauty of clay Roman tiles and the advantages of steel roofing. Coverage – main feature metal tiles Cloudy, created by the metallurgical concern ArcelorMittal. The color of the metal tiles is terracotta, with different shades - like old ceramics. The spots look like clouds. It is thanks to the smoky surface that the new Arcelor metal tile gets its name (CLOUDY in English means “clouds”).

The composition of the Cloudy polymer coating corresponds to metal tiles. This material perfectly withstands heat, frost, moisture, sudden temperature changes, and is resistant to mechanical damage. The thickness of the Cloudy metal tile coating is 35 microns.

When installing metal tiles roof covering CLOUDY Granit is no different from traditional metal tiles. You can also choose roof ventilation systems for it. Exclusive supplier in Russia of sheets with polymer coating CLOUDY Granit is a company "Metal Profile"

The main differences between CLOUDY Granit and other coatings:

  • unique appearance;
  • two-pass paint application technology (cloud effect);
  • patented additives to increase coating hardness;
  • increased resistance to temperature changes and ultraviolet radiation.

Two main advantages of Cloudy metal tiles over clay tiles

On a surface clay tiles after several years of service, exactly the same spots appear - due to the action of atmospheric humidity and temperature changes. And then the surface layer of clay tiles begins to collapse. Moisture penetrates into the material due to the porosity of natural clay. When the temperature drops below 0 degrees, water freezes and expands; when it rises, it melts. And so many times during the winter. Therefore, the owner of a clay roof (in the central region of Russia) has to annually replace several plates that have become unusable. The owner of a metal roof is spared this work. By the way, the same situation with and. Their owners only wash their facades 1-2 times a year. Those whose house walls are lined with wood and natural stone, it is necessary to annually update and partially change fragments of facade materials.

Another advantage of Cloudy metal tiles is their low weight - 4-5 kg per 1 sq.m. roofs. For comparison: 1 sq.m. flexible tiles weighs 8-10 kg, and square meter a clay roof will pull 40 kg - 10 times more than metal tiles.

CLOUDY Granit is antiquity with a modern twist!

Metal tiles are sheet construction material, used to cover the roofs of houses. To give it an attractive appearance, it is painted with various paints and primers. The service life and cost depend on the thickness of each applied layer. Some increase its resistance to corrosion, others protect it from mechanical shock and ultraviolet radiation.

  • Steel sheet.
  • Galvanized on both sides.
  • Passivating layer on both sides.
  • Primer.
  • Decorative and protective layer on the front side.
  • Protective layer on the back.

Types of coatings and their characteristics

There are many types of paints. They are made from the same components, but using different technologies.

Produced on the basis of the following substances:

  • polyester;
  • polyurethane;
  • plastisol.

1. Polyurethane.

The sheets are painted in a layer of 50 microns. Galvanization is carried out in the range from 100 to 570 g/m2. Tiles with such a coating are produced by some of the most famous and best brands: Armakor, Granite, Prism and Pural. They are similar in characteristics, differing only in the country of origin. When polyurethane is applied, the surface acquires a silky-matte tint; it is resistant to ultraviolet rays, so it retains its original color for a long time. Not afraid chemical substances, which are formed in excess in major cities.

Such metal tiles are good even in harsh conditions, for example, near the seas, where there is often salt fog. It cuts perfectly, and when bending, no cracks form in the paint; as a result, the protective layer remains completely intact. The service life of Pural, Granite and Prism ranges from 20 to 40 years. The manufacturer provides a guarantee of up to 35 years, depending on the thickness of the steel and the galvanization layer.

Puretan is one of the varieties polyurethane paints. Applied with a layer of 35 microns, galvanizing - 275 g/m2. Due to the smaller thickness, the cost is lower. Can be used in complex climatic zones.

Prism - coating 50 microns thick, galvanized - 142-258 g/m2. But in this case, to protect against rust, it is not 100% zinc that is used, but its mixture with aluminum. Thanks to this, the tiles lie well in places with high humidity, and also resistant to salts, chemical acids and alkalis. Will last from 25 to 30 years, guarantee period- 20 years.

Quartzite Mat is applied in a layer of 50 microns. Galvanization is carried out with a thickness of at least 275 g/m2. The reverse side is painted with polyester to improve the appearance of the material and further protect against negative impacts. Service life - 45-50 years, factory warranty, subject to compliance with roof installation technology and rules of use - 35 years.

Polyurethane products also include the following brands: Granite, Purman, Steel Cashmere and Quartzite Light.

2. Plastisol.

It is applied with a layer of 200 microns, galvanization can be from 100 to 258 g/m2, the base is polyvinyl chloride. Looks good on any type of roof and withstands precipitation well. But in intense sunlight, it loses its original color and the paint slowly begins to crumble. The service life is 25-35 years. The warranty can be up to 30 years, but this depends on the manufacturer, the thickness of the galvanized layer and the steel.

3. Regular and matte polyester.

It is one of the cheapest coatings, and it also has the widest color scheme. Its basis is polyester paint. Painted tiles have a glossy sheen and are resistant to precipitation and ultraviolet radiation. Not recommended for covering roofs in areas with contaminated environment, for example, near highways, in large cities or near industrial enterprises. The most well-known brands are Satin, Steel Silk, Atlas, Polydexter, Purex and Agnetha.

Satin – applied in a layer of no more than 25 microns. For the manufacture of tiles, galvanized steel from 100 to 570 g/m2 is used. Service life is 10-30 years, the warranty varies, it all depends on the manufacturer.

Agnetha, unlike previous options, is applied to the product on both sides, thereby better protecting it. The front layer reaches 30 microns, the back layer – 25. Galvanized steel of 275 g/m2 is used. A special component has also been added that gives a copper tint. Resistant to ultraviolet rays, service life - 35-40 years.

Matte polyester is applied in a thickness of 25 to 35 microns. Polyester paint is also used as a base, but it is matte, so it does not have a glossy sheen. But unlike Pural or Plastisol, it poorly withstands mechanical loads and burns out quite quickly. The service life depends on the manufacturing technology and manufacturer.

The most famous brands with matte polyester coating are Steel Velvet, Safari, Viking, Drape and Velor. It is not recommended to use them in places with an aggressive environment.

You should check the thickness of the galvanization, since the service life depends on it: the thinner, the less the metal will last. This is where manufacturers are trying to reduce product costs and increase the frequency of purchases of new building materials. It is better to choose tiles according to high price and with a long warranty. In this case, the roof will have to be repaired again in 20-25 years.

A material with a textured (matte) surface fades much slower than a glossy one, even if it has only one layer of polymer.

Cost and what affects it

The price varies greatly depending on the thickness of the steel: the thinner it is, the lower the cost of the building material. The type of metal and the level of its purification also influences. Prices also increase depending on the size of the galvanized layer. Well-galvanized tiles are more resistant to corrosion, and subsequent coloring and protective coatings adhere better to them.

The following factors also affect the cost:

  • Profiling technology (giving steel its final shape, increasing rigidity and resistance to loads).
  • The presence of a passivation layer.
  • Type of coating.
  • Composition, degree of adhesion and thickness of the primer.
  • Wave height (the higher, the more expensive).

Home owners often have a question about what to buy – tiles or soft roof. These building materials differ significantly in the production method. The second one should be chosen when the home owner has an unlimited budget, since it costs more. To install it you will need to buy Additional materials for arranging a continuous sheathing.

If you plan to purchase an expensive metal tile and are not sure that it will work out well and correctly install it yourself, then it is better to contact construction company. You should choose an organization that has proven itself well and has a large number of positive feedback. You need to make sure that she does all the work conscientiously. Regardless of what kind of tiles are used, if the installation technology is violated, then within a year or two it will begin to rust. Particular care must be taken when handling it protective coating, as it scratches easily.

Buy metal tiles coated with Granit (Granite) for the roof with delivery and installation from the GoodRoofing company (Best Roofing), price per m2/sheet on the website.

Granite metal tiles are premium roofing materials, which means that they have increased aesthetic and performance characteristics. Produced using Belgian technologies, which are in no way inferior to Finnish ones. much cheaper than analogues, which allows you to save money on the construction of the roof, but not on its technical characteristics.

Roof protection with the strength of granite

Granite coating is one of the most reliable, as it can withstand significant mechanical stress and provide high protection metal sheets from corrosion. The composition is based on polyurethane modified with polyamide granules, which at the same time has plasticity and high tensile strength.

Attention! Metal tiles coated with Matte Granite are a direct competitor to the elite series roofing materials from and, not inferior in many operational and technical parameters, but at a much lower cost. Therefore, well-known experts recommend purchasing it.

The thickness of the coating is 50 microns, due to which it is able to withstand any operating conditions and provide roof protection for at least 50 years. Sharp temperature changes or hail will not cause cracks on the roof surface, and ultraviolet radiation will not cause color changes.

The matte finish has excellent aesthetic properties, as it does not glare or reflect light rays. In any weather, the color remains rich and rich, and the roof looks perfect and flawless. Despite the fact that the number of colors is not large, choosing the right one will not be a problem, since they will look perfect against the background of any building facade.

Why is it profitable to choose

Matte Granite metal tiles are available in modern equipment, which means that it fully corresponds to the declared technical specifications. High quality raw materials and careful control of all stages of production allowed us to achieve the following advantages of the material:

  • precise adherence to the profile geometry and uniformity of the applied protective layer simplify the installation of the roof and ensure maximum durability of the structure;
  • a high degree of sound insulation allows you to reduce noise from precipitation inside the building;
  • resistance of the sheet surface to physical and chemical influences external environment without deterioration of any properties;
  • increased wear resistance;
  • ability to maintain properties in the temperature range from -60°C to +120°C.
