A simple jigsaw machine. Homemade jigsaw machine for sawing: drawings and video. wooden jigsaw machine

An electric jigsaw is a tool that last years has firmly taken its place in the arsenal of almost every owner. And if you haven’t taken it yet, then this article will come in handy, because choosing a good desktop or manual jigsaw, which would meet all the goals set, is quite a difficult task.

Hand jigsaw for wood - first cutting lessons

All boys learn what a hand jigsaw for wood is at school during labor lessons. This is one of those tools that you can trust even to a child without fear for his safety. The simplest structure of a U-shaped frame with fasteners on the edges is actually intended for the most delicate work in the art of sawing - although an electric jigsaw speeds up the work significantly, it is not always able to cut out the thin curl you need. Therefore, in any workshop, a manual jigsaw will always have its place. place of honor Moreover, making such a jigsaw with your own hands is not particularly difficult.

In sawing hand tools There is one feature - for convenience and speed of work, the miniature saw blade must be tensioned like a string, eliminating possible sagging. It will be inconvenient to work with a sagging blade, and the blade will most likely break at the first jam. The direction of the teeth is strictly against the downward movement of the blade. The thinner the blade you choose, the finer and smoother the carving will be.

Which jigsaw to choose - main characteristics

Before you go to the market, find out for yourself what basic characteristics of the tool you should pay attention to when choosing a jigsaw. Engine power - of course, this parameter should be taken into account first. The minimum and maximum thickness material being cut and cutting speed. The quality of the cut also depends on the engine power. For household tools quite normal power is from 280 to 550 W.

Pendulum movement is a function that not all jigsaws have, but its presence is mandatory for serious tasks. If in normal mode the jigsaw moves the file only up and down, then a jigsaw with the pendulum movement turned on deflects the blade from the cut back during the lower stroke and feeds the blade towards sawing on the upper stroke. Due to this, the cut is better cleared of shavings and saw wear is reduced, and cutting with a jigsaw becomes an easier task.

The amplitude of oscillation is adjustable when cutting different materials, for example, for softwood and plastics the maximum mode is selected, while with greater thickness of wood, cutting soft metals and chipboards, the amplitude decreases.

This function is completely disabled when it comes to working with sheets of metal or cutting steel. Number of moves – when deciding which jigsaw to choose, pay attention to this factor. Single-speed jigsaws can only work properly when working with wood; when cutting metal, the tool’s motor may fail. Therefore, for greater functionality, it is recommended to buy devices with as many better adjustment and the widest range. The broader the latter characteristic, the more versatile the tool becomes.

In some jigsaws, the number of strokes is controlled by a fixed switch, which sets the speed preset by the manufacturer. But jigsaws are considered more professional, in which the speed is regulated by the force of pressing the start button, located on the handle under the index finger. However, even in such models it is possible to operate at fixed speeds. Maximum power The tool is turned on when working with wood, the average number is selected for working with soft metals, such as aluminum, and ceramics provides a minimum number of strokes.

In this case, the load on the engine goes exactly to low speeds, therefore, when working with metals, let the tool cool down from time to time, either in the off position or at the maximum number of strokes. However, listen to the tool, the sound of the jigsaw and the ease of cutting are the best advisers.

Fastening the saw blade - be sure to pay attention to this characteristic. After all, in the future it will determine how easily you can select files for your tool. Often, the saw blade fastening mechanism provides for the possibility of fixing the blade in the seat with a clamping hex bolt and a notch for a screwdriver or a quick-clamping mechanism. If the tool can work with files that look like a cross on the tail, then you can safely buy it. Cross files are the most common type that you will find in any store.

Choosing a jigsaw - nice extras

In addition to the main characteristics, it doesn’t hurt to pay attention to minor additions that can make working with this tool much more comfortable. Blowing and dust extraction systems are by no means uncommon among this type of tool. Air flow from a running engine directed towards the right side, does an excellent job of removing sawdust from the cutting line. If it is also possible to connect a dust extraction bag, the work process will become much more comfortable.

The ability to make bevel cuts is another feature that is very useful in any business. Some tools provide for work only in fixed positions, but a jigsaw with smooth adjustment of the inclination of the tool in relation to the “sole” is much more preferable.

If we remembered the so-called “sole”, that is, the platform that serves as a guide in the tool, let’s complete the review of this part. The ease of use largely depends on its quality. Cast soles are the most preferred - compared to stamped counterparts, they provide greater accuracy. Make sure that the model you buy has the ability to install an anti-splinter insert - a small part that makes cutting fragile materials easier.

All sorts of additions will not be superfluous in the kit, for example, protective screen and guides for cutting out round shapes. A professional tool must be equipped with parallel stops and a case for storing the tool and carrying all components.

Tabletop jigsaw – buy or make?

Professional-type tools are characterized by long working hours without interruption. Household ones are intended for occasional use, so they are lighter and less powerful. Accordingly, the price will be much lower.

The professional jigsaw also includes a tabletop electric jigsaw, which has many advantages over a manual jigsaw. Its main advantage is the ability to work with thin files, and therefore cut out finer patterns and complex decorative details. Convenience of work is ensured by a wide tabletop, on which you can easily process large parts and make cuts in wide workpieces. Thanks to reliable fastening, the housing is protected from unnecessary vibrations, which in turn protects the motor from overloads.

When working with a benchtop tool, you will be able to pay full attention to the material and grasp it firmly with both hands, which is impossible when working with a hand tool. However, if necessary, you can get out of the situation by making a homemade stationary jigsaw, constructing it from manual type tool, a few screws and a piece of durable plywood.

The plywood will serve as a tabletop, in which, using the same jigsaw, you need to make a cut for a file and drill several holes for fasteners. It is quite possible that you will have to drill the same holes in the “sole” of the tool. We fix the tool under the plywood and attach the entire structure to the edge of the table - our desktop jigsaw is ready!

In life home handyman, periodically there is a need to make figured and simply decorative cuts, including inside the workpiece. Gasoline, circular and regular hand saws they cannot cope with this task, due to their design features. To solve this problem, use a manual jigsaw, specially designed for performing such operations. This tool undoubtedly copes with its task, but when working with large volumes or dimensional materials, it definitely loses to its more professional brother - a jigsaw.

Purchasing a brand new, shiny, and functional benchtop jigsaw is absolutely effortless. Store shelves are filled with products various manufacturers, aimed at professional and amateur work. At first glance, the stationary jigsaws on sale seem to be very complex in terms of design, the assembly of which is carried out only by selected expert technicians. In fact, this is quite simple devices that you can do yourself if you have the desire and step by step instructions. And if the first point depends only on you, with the second we will definitely help and provide detailed guide By self-assembly homemade jigsaw machine.

Scope of application

The special design and thin saw blade make the tabletop jigsaw a unique device, indispensable when performing certain types of tasks. This device has gained the greatest popularity in the woodworking industry. It is often used in delicate work on making jewelry, souvenirs, musical instruments and furniture.

One of the main features for which the wood jigsaw is so valued is the ability to carry out internal cuts on the workpiece without damaging its contour. Not the least role in the usefulness of this device is its ease of use, when both hands of the operator are free and can the best way control the position of the product on work surface. To everything else, it is worth adding the accuracy of the resulting cutting line, as well as the ability to work with plastic and metal. All of the above advantages make a tabletop jigsaw the best tool for sawing decorative elements.

The working principle of a jigsaw machine

To form the clearest possible picture of the structure of a tabletop jigsaw, you need to understand what it consists of. Next, we will list all the design elements of an elementary apparatus of this type, without additional functionality (removing sawdust, speed control, tilting the working surface and other gadgets). So, a stationary jigsaw consists of the following components:
  1. Stable base
  2. Electric motor
  3. Crank assembly
  4. Desktop
  5. Upper and lower arm
  6. File clamping device
Of course, without explaining the relationship of the above components, they will remain just a set of words. To convey a more specific idea of the operation of the structure, we will briefly describe its structure.

The whole process originates from the motor, which transmits rotation to the crank mechanism, which converts the circular motion into reciprocating motion. The connecting rod, which is part of the mechanism, transfers movement to the lower arm, causing it to move up and down. The entire structure described above is located under the desktop. The upper lever is located above the table surface and is connected to the lower spring, which serves as a tensioner saw blade. At the ends of both levers opposite to the spring there is a clamp where a saw is installed to cut the workpiece.

For greater clarity of the entire process described above, we present the following drawing of a jigsaw machine with the function of a saw blade tension regulator. Though this opportunity and is one of the main ones, we did not present it in the description of the design of an elementary device, since it is possible to work without it.

Jigsaw machine from electric jigsaw

Not everyone has a need to regularly carry out decorative figured cuts. Often, to solve such problems, home craftsmen only need a regular hand-held electric jigsaw. Not everyone wants to purchase a bulky and rather expensive device for one-time use and further collection of dust. Still, in everyday life, sometimes there is a job that requires the most accurate and accurate cutting. In this case, you can assemble a fairly simple jigsaw machine with your own hands using minimum set materials and a little imagination.

Today, there are many online variety of options executions of a tabletop jigsaw, varying degrees of complexity and efficiency. After reviewing dozens of products, we settled on the most interesting and at the same time simple assembly that meets the main requirements for cutting quality. Even a beginner who has at his disposal can assemble such a jigsaw machine from a manual jigsaw with his own hands necessary tool. For assembly you will need:

  1. Chipboard sheet (3 pcs): 600x400x20 (length, width, height)
  2. Spring
  3. Profile pipe (1.5 m): 30x30x2 (length, width, thickness)
  4. Jigsaw
  5. Flat washers (4 pcs)
  6. Bolts for washers and connections
  7. Self-tapping screws for countertop assembly
The above values are given with a margin. When assembling the machine, be guided by your preferences and logic.

Required tools:

  • Welding machine
  • Grinder with a metal disc
  • Screwdriver
Having collected all the necessary arsenal, you can safely proceed to action.

1.First of all, you should assemble the base of the future machine. To do this, take 3 prepared chipboard sheet or something else thick enough wood material and make a structure out of them that looks like the letter “p”. We fix it at the edges with self-tapping screws. For greater reliability and stability, you can make a back wall.

2. In the center of the surface of the assembled tabletop, we outline future holes for a file and several fasteners for a jigsaw. To do this, remove the sole from the jigsaw, apply it with the opposite (not flat) side to the future attachment point and make several points through the grooves of the sole. At this stage, it is necessary to maintain accuracy, since the jigsaw installed from below must have the most accurate, perpendicular location to the side edges of the table, in order to avoid distortion of the file when further work. We drill the marked points with a drill 3-4 mm, and the central one (for the file) by 10 mm. As in the photos below.

3. After fixing the jigsaw under the tabletop, we proceed to assembling the upper arm from square pipe, serving as a saw blade tensioner. As a fixed base, we cut off a part of the pipe, 300 mm long, and weld fixation elements (corners or ears) at one of the ends. The moving part should be slightly longer (about 45 cm). The connection of two elements is carried out using a bolt with a nut and a U-shaped metal element, welded to the end of the post, as in the photo below.

A washer is welded to the end of the movable lever, which will be located directly on the file, which will serve as the upper fastening element.

4. Before installing the assembled tensioner structure to the surface of the table top, be sure to make sure that the end of the boom is located directly above the hole drilled for the file. If the top fastening moves too far to the side, the file will often tear, complicating the cutting process. When the ideal location of the tensioner has been verified, we fasten the structure to the tabletop with bolts.

5. Since the jigsaw is not suitable for working with thin files, we make a simple adapter fastener for it. To do this, take an old saw blade, grind off the teeth with a grinder, cut them to 3-4 cm in length and weld a regular nut to the end, into which the saw blade will be clamped using a second nut and bolt.

When making such an adapter, pay attention Special attention to its length. If it is too large, the nut will hit the bottom of the tabletop, which may cause the tool to break.

6. When the file is clamped in both fasteners, all that remains is to tension it and start working. The implementation of such a function is simple. We attach the spring to the back of the movable lever using a bolt and nut, and fix the opposite part to the tabletop to the required length. Determining the tension is very easy. To do this, just run your finger along the file, like a guitar string. A high sound will indicate that the device is operational.

At this stage, the assembly of the elementary device is considered complete. To more clearly understand how to make a machine from a jigsaw, we recommend watching the following video.

Homemade jigsaw from a drill

A screwdriver and a drill are among the most common power tools in any household. These devices are quite powerful, have a wide range of applications and are sometimes even used as drives. various mechanisms. The author of the following manual on assembling a tabletop jigsaw with his own hands uses a drill as a motor.

The manufacturing process of a classic machine presented below does not require welding and cutting metal with a grinder, but at the same time perfectly demonstrates the principle of operation of such a device. The device is based on a simple crank mechanism, which can be made in a couple of minutes, having at your disposal a piece of plywood and a short steel rod with a diameter of 6 mm. Unfortunately, the author did not provide detailed drawing jigsaw machine, but answered many questions by editing a visual video instruction.

The entire assembly process includes quite a lot small parts, easy to understand and do not require additional comments. For this reason, we decided not to explain basic things in words, but to touch only on the basic details of the design. By tradition, we begin the instructions by listing the required materials.
  1. Wooden slats (2 pcs): 500x40x20 (length, width, thickness)
  2. Chipboard for base: 400x350x20
  3. Chipboard for work surface: 320x320x20
  4. Chipboard strips (2 pcs): 350x50x20
  5. Aluminum sheet: 400x400x1
  6. Drill (screwdriver)
  7. PVC pipes (4 pcs): 300 mm in length
  8. Self-tapping screws, bolts, washers and nuts
  9. Wood glue
  10. Steel rod, 6mm diameter (for crank assembly)
  11. Spring
The listed materials are used in the instructions, but do not claim absolute accuracy. You can replace it with what you have at your disposal. You can also deviate from the sizes, if necessary.

Required tools:

  • Screwdriver or drill
  • Pliers
  • Metal scissors
  • Hammer
Having prepared the required materials, all that remains is to assemble them into a single working mechanism, following the video guide presented below. When connecting wooden parts using self-tapping screws and glue, we recommend waiting for complete drying, which will last at least 24 hours. Otherwise, the connection will be flimsy.

In place of the presented saw tension mechanism, you can install a small lanyard with a fixing nut. This way, the tensioning process will be more convenient and efficient.

As a file, the author uses steel wire for survival in the forest. Of course, a perfectly even cut cannot be obtained with such an element, so a fastening element should be made at the ends of the upper and lower arms. You can clamp the file between two washers, tightened with a screw and a pair of nuts.

For the most durable and convenient fixation of the crank, it is better to use a drill chuck with a key. If you have this element, you can quickly remove the drill or screwdriver when you need it in another place. You can just as easily tighten it back.

We hope that the presented manual was useful and clearly conveyed the principle of operation and manufacture of the device. More visual instructions about how to do homemade jigsaw You can watch in the video below.

The desktop jigsaw machine is designed for cutting various parts having a complex configuration, made of sheet materials. This tool is capable of working with MDF, chipboard, fiberboard and many others. Jigsaws can also cut out the internal contours of parts if you first make a small hole. This tool has a wide range of applications, since it is capable of providing high productivity, which cannot be achieved with a conventional hacksaw.

Design features

The design diagrams of all jigsaw machines are usually the same. Having carefully examined the drawings, which show this tool, you can see the following structural units:

  • the bed, which is also often called the body. It is designed to accommodate all structural elements of the unit;
  • drive mechanism;
  • crank mechanism. It is necessary to convert the rotational energy of the motor shaft into the movements of the saw used during operation;
  • double rocker arm. Equipped with fasteners for a file and a tension device;
  • Desktop. In some modern models it has a rotation mechanism that moves at a given angle.

How to make a machine from a jigsaw?

To make a jigsaw from a manual jigsaw, you need to follow these instructions:

  1. First you need to make a table where a homemade jigsaw will be installed in the future. For this purpose use any durable sheet material– thick plywood, metal and others.
  2. They do it in the table through holes, designed for cutting blades and various fasteners.
  3. The resulting jigsaw table is installed and securely fastened to a suitable wooden table.
  4. The resulting table is equipped with guide rails.
  5. A manual jigsaw is attached below, which makes it possible to replace the drive mechanism of the machine and many of its other structural elements.

Anyone can make such a jigsaw machine with their own hands. Its advantage is that at any time this unit Can be quickly disassembled and used only with hand tools.

How to make a more professional instrument?

A homemade jigsaw machine can have all the qualities that are present in professional equipment. To make it you need to follow these instructions:

  1. The bed is made from any durable material– 12 mm plywood, plastic, textolite and others. It should consist of a base, a housing to accommodate all structural units and a work table.
  2. On the other side, a rocking chair with an eccentric is placed. They need to be connected to each other using metal plates with sleeve-type bearings. The resulting structure is installed using screws.
  3. The intermediate shaft is formed from several bearings.
  4. The metal pulley is placed very tightly on the shaft and the screw connection is secured.
  5. To change the movement characteristics of the rocker, 4 holes are made on the eccentric flange round shape threaded. They should be placed at different distances from the center line. The amplitude of movement of the rocking chair is regulated by the location of the screws.
  6. The rocking chair is formed from wooden rocker arms, which are attached on a hinge to the stand.
  7. Small cuts are made at the rear ends of the rocker arms. They are designed to install tension screws.
  8. The front ends of the rocker arm are designed for mounting a saw blade. It moves using special metal hinges. Before attaching the file, it is installed in a groove located on the work table.
  9. The rocking stand is made from a single piece of durable material. A groove is made at its upper end for installing the rocker arm, and a small hole is cut out near the lower end rectangular shape for mounting the second rocker arm.

How to make a machine from a sewing machine?

From sewing machine The result is an excellent jigsaw machine, which is equipped with a saw blade movement regulator. It is not difficult to do if you follow these instructions:

  1. The thread weaving mechanism is removed from the bottom of the machine. On some models it may be located in a different location.
  2. To dismantle this unit, you need to remove several bolts, then remove the cotter pin and drive shaft.
  3. The top protective panel is unscrewed. After this, the groove along which it moves sewing needle, it is necessary to expand it to suit the parameters of the file.
  4. The cutting element itself is also slightly modified. It is trimmed according to the length of the sewing needle.
  5. It is not necessary to make an adapter to install the cutting element. Instead, you can grind down the upper incisors a little and process the lower zone of the blade.
  6. The file is inserted into the needle holder and work begins.

All presented options for manufacturing jigsaw machines are very successful. The resulting units are distinguished by high labor productivity, and making them is not at all difficult. Depending on their skills, each master will be able to choose best model homemade equipment.

Video: Jigsaw from a sewing machine

Since childhood, we have been familiar with the technology of sawing with a jigsaw. The principle is simple - a stationary part is placed on a stand with a technological cutout, the cut is made by moving the saw. The quality of work depends on the steadfastness of the hands and the skill of the worker.

In this way, you can literally cut lace from thin wooden or plastic blanks. However, the process is labor-intensive and slow. Therefore, many craftsmen thought about small-scale mechanization.

A simple design from the last century

More in the magazine Young technician“Drawings were offered on how to make a jigsaw machine with your own hands. Moreover, the design does not involve an electric drive; the drive operates from muscular force, like a knife sharpener.

The machine consists of main parts:

  • bed (A)
  • work table (B) with slot for canvas
  • lever system (B) for holding the saw blade
  • flywheel (G), which is the primary drive pulley
  • crank mechanism (D), combined with a secondary drive pulley, and driving the levers (B)
  • pedal assembly (E) with a crank mechanism driving the flywheel (D)
  • saw blade tensioner (W)

The master uses his foot to move the flywheel (D). Using a belt drive, the crank mechanism (D) connected to the lower arm (B) rotates. A file is stretched between the levers; the degree of tension is regulated by a lanyard (G).

With a well-balanced flywheel, sufficient smooth running of the saw blade is ensured, and such a homemade jigsaw machine allows you to massively cut out the same type of workpiece, saving time and effort. In those days, jigsaw files were produced in the form of a flat, unidirectional strip.

Therefore, to obtain patterns of complex shapes, it was necessary to rotate the workpiece around the canvas. The dimensions of the workpiece are limited by the length of the arms (B).

From a mechanical jigsaw to an electric one one step

The foot drive cannot provide real freedom of action and uniformity of the saw stroke. It makes more sense to use an electric motor for the crank mechanism. However, if you use a tabletop jigsaw occasionally, there is no point in making stationary structure with its own motor.

»!
In this article, as I promised in previous posts, we will talk about one more homemade device for the work of finishing craftsmen.
This device, as you see in the photo, is based on a regular electric jigsaw.
I believe that a jigsaw, like a grinder, is a very universal tools, which, when changing attachments, be it a file or a cutting disc, can be used in different operations.
I made this device as an alternative to a hand-held circular saw, which, of course, broke down at the most inopportune moment.
And I want to say that even after repairing the circular saw, I still continued to use the jigsaw machine in my work.
Of course, an electric jigsaw is much inferior to an electric saw in the speed of cutting parts. But it has an advantage - it is a curved cut.
And it seems to me that a jigsaw is safer compared to a circular saw.
In short, we do jigsaw machine.
To make it you will need this material:

  • Duralumin strip measuring 930×310 mm, thickness 2 mm.

You can use plexiglass (10 mm), but it is more difficult to bend.

  • Aluminum corners dimensions:

15×15 mm, length 375 mm – 2 pcs.
20×20 mm, length 60 mm – 4 pcs.
40×40 mm, length 130 mm – 1 pc.

  • Bracket-bracket size 85×20×2 mm – 1 pc.
  • Plates metal size 45×14 mm – 2 pcs.

I used furniture canopies because... they just came to hand first, so if I use any other plates, it’s no big deal.

  • Plywood 300×290 mm thick no thinner than 10 mm.

You can use plywood with a thickness of 20 mm, but then you will need to use a jigsaw file longer than usual, for example, 126 mm.
Accessories:

  • Screw M5×30 – 1 pc.
  • Screw M5×50 – 2 pcs.
  • Screw with nut M6×20 – 1 pc.
  • Screw with nut M4×16 – 1 pc.
  • Self-tapping screws 3.5×16 – 20 pcs.
  • Self-tapping screws with drill 3.5×9.5 (fleas) – 14 pcs.
  • Self-tapping screws with press washer 4×16 – 2 pcs.

Also, you will not need a large arsenal for the job. tool.

  • Drill with a set of drills.
  • Grinder with cutting wheel for metal.

note that duralumin is cut using a special disk cutter with a fine tooth made from Pobedite.
But I didn’t buy such a cutter, because... I don’t process duralumin sheets, I only cut aluminum profile For .

  • Jigsaw.
  • Screwdriver.

The procedure for making a jigsaw machine

✓Use a grinder to cut a duralumin strip measuring 930×310 mm.
note to make cutting easier, you need to use a cutting wheel for metal with the following parameters 125×1.0×22 mm. Where the size of 125 mm may vary depending on the grinder itself (angle grinder).
Main so that the thickness of the cutting disc is no more than 1.2 mm!
✓Measure 300 mm from the left and right edges of the bend line.
✓Bend each side separately at an angle slightly less than 90°.
This is necessary for better stability of the entire structure.
✓Using a grinder, we cut two aluminum corners 15×15 mm with a length of 375 mm and four corners 20×20 mm with a length of 60 mm.
✓Using fleas, we connect the 20×20 mm corners with the side ones at a height of 40 mm from the bottom.
✓Attach 15×15 mm corners with a length of 375 mm to them using fleas.
This gives rigidity to the product.
✓Use a jigsaw to cut 300×290 mm plywood for the table backing.
✓We connect it to the duralumin base using self-tapping screws (3.5×16 mm) in twenty places.
The frame is ready.
✓Turn it over with the plywood facing up.
✓We make markings for a through slot for the file.

✓We cut through with a grinder.
✓Insert the jigsaw and mark the holes for fastening the sole to the table.

✓Drill with a ø5 mm drill.

Advice.
The diameter of the hole should be equal to the diameter of the thread on the sole of the jigsaw.
ø5 mm=M5.
This is necessary for a tighter connection.

✓Attach the jigsaw with three M5 screws to the table.

Now you need to make a guide support for the jigsaw file.
To do this, I used a lamp mounting bracket from a floor lamp and two plates from
furniture canopies.
✓Measure 85 mm from the file and use a grinder to make a slot with a length and thickness equal to the dimensions of the inserted corner.

note, after marking, the jigsaw must be removed!

✓Insert the corner into the slot and secure it with self-tapping screws and a press washer to the plywood.
✓Attach the bracket assembled with guide plates for the saw to it using fleas.

The jigsaw machine is ready.

The main advantage of such a device– these are metal saw guides that maintain an absolutely flat vertical (90°) during operation!
Many craftsmen know that almost all jigsaws have significant drawback, when sawing a part, the vertical of the file is broken. If you look at the end, the file goes at a slight angle. And this slope can change in different directions throughout the entire length of the cut.
Well, another advantage of this product is that it is not heavy and small in size.

Flaws:

  1. When working, you have to hold it with your foot.
  2. I didn't make a separate button to turn it on and off.
  3. You can't cut thick bars or boards, but I don't need it, because... I’m thicker than chipboard (16-18 mm) and I don’t unravel anything.

Wooden or MDF lining or – it’s as easy as shelling pears!
And, if you use a diamond-coated file for ceramics, then you can tiles cut.

Of course, this sawing machine is made from a jigsaw, just like I did, from whatever came to hand, so it is not at all necessary to use exactly such materials. You can experiment with other materials.

That's all on this topic.
