Varieties

In furniture stores you can often find ready-made options, and made to order (sizes provided by the customer). Modular slides are selected element by element or you can choose ready-made compositions. There are a large number of options for ready-made modules, which allows you to assemble a layout of a suitable size, which is economically beneficial for the buyer. If you choose from ready-made options, the slides often have inappropriate sizes; some elements have to be placed separately from the main composition.

Slides made according to customer sketches in accordance with sizes and wishes are more expensive than ready-made modular kits. The furniture clearly fits into the dimensions of the room, has a unique design, layout of shelves and hanging sections. This option is suitable if the room has non-standard dimensions and a designer interior.

Manufacturers of cabinet furniture produce the following types of slides:

• mini slides;
• straight;
• corner;
• modular.

When choosing a wall, you need to think about how it will be attached. Will there be separate hanging elements or will it be a frame, free-standing mini-wall. If modular cabinets will be attached to the wall, this area must be strengthened during the renovation stage. Mini slides

Often, modular cabinets consist of a chest of drawers, a shelf, a niche for a TV, a cabinet for dishes, corners and open shelves for books and various useful little things.

Stylistic executions

Furniture slides, in addition to differences in modifications (straight, corner, U-shaped, mini), can have different stylistic designs. Modular slides are considered practical, each element of which is a separate structure. This allows you to swap sections for greater ease of use. The compositions consist of elements: a chest of drawers, a TV stand, wall cabinets, glass-fronted display cases for dishes, wall shelves, a niche for a plasma TV.

The future style of furniture depends on the interior of the living room:

• slides in the classic stele (example in the photo) have characteristic elements and details, such as a plinth on the lower modules, a cornice on upper cabinets, decor with balusters and decorative locks on the corners of furniture. The style is also expressed by paneled facades, which can be made of either solid wood or MDF in wood-like film. According to the composition, there are display cases with glass stands for displaying luxury items and tableware, cabinets or a chest of drawers with drawers, a section for appliances, and a niche for a TV in the center. For a small living room in a classic style, you should choose light shades, and if there are no special restrictions in space, then you can opt for the traditional classic dark color;
• Furniture slides in the Art Nouveau style (as in the photo) are distinguished by their simplicity and straightforwardness. You will not find curved facades or rounded shelves in the compositions. Furniture most often comes either straight or in a U-shaped configuration. The hinged and drawer fronts are made in a combination of gloss and wood, which looks stylish and modern. Materials such as glass in an aluminum frame, MDF in film or varnished can act as gloss. Modern modular compositions can be minimalist in nature and consist only of a TV stand, a hanging shelf, a couple of vertical narrow cabinets with push-up opening;
• if the interior is strictly designed in the Provence style, there is a fireplace, then the slide (example in the photo) can also have an identical design. Provence is the same classic, only with the addition of shabby elements, plus the presence of floral decoration in the decoupage style. Colors: ivory, white, light green or light turquoise. Also characteristic feature there are lion legs, as in the Baroque style, or a straight classic plinth at the base of the lower tables;
• High-tech furniture slides are distinguished by the minimalism of closed elements. Modular compositions can consist only of hanging open sections and shelves, and a TV cabinet below. At the same time, the design contains chrome elements: stands, handles and other visible fittings;
• An oriental-style slide has an abundance of decor: paintings or relief elements. The decor is done in bright colors and is present on the body and facades of the furniture.

Since not every person can withstand such an abundance of decor, it is worth taking this fact into account in advance when creating an interior in an oriental style.
